“Was in St. John’s from Alberta to deal with. Saw this place in TikTok and wanted to make sure I stopped in. It was better than what was in TikTok. Order a one piece Fish and chips. Could not finish everything. The staff were very friendly and chatted for a bit. I would recommend this location to anyone. Very happy and want to thank everyone.“

“After a long day of exploring Bell Island we stopped in here for some food, and the effects of heat exhaustion came over me. The staff gave me lots of water, including some ice in a bag and frequently asked my family how I was doing! Thanks for all the understanding and kindness that evening!“

“My date had suggested this place. I am living in BC but long ago I lived here. It was a night of just a few drinks and some company.
Our server Hayley was awesome and kept our glasses full. Filling our glasses were Matt, Artee, and Andrew. I was having some pints and my date was having margaritas. Something I didn’t even see on the menu so very cool they made that for her.
The entertainment was fantastic. Songs I knew and loved to sing along to. Joel did a great job for the entertainment line up. Really loved this place and great for a date night.“

“Been here a few times over the past month and the food was amazing! I had Chinese food each visit, dinner #10 and it was perfect. so fresh and flavorful. introduced the place to a friend and its her new fave as well. Staff was the best.😊“

“The music was at the perfect low level so you could hear yourself think. Our server Kaitlin was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious.
Easily the best Ches’s experience for us and we have been to them all.

“Went there for a quick fish and chips takeout. It was my second time having fish and chips in Newfoundland and it was pretty good. The portions were good and the fries were very nice. But the best part was being served by Ariel, she was super sweet and personable and made my time there very pleasant. She needs to get a raise.“
