I will first start with the positive as I like to give credit where credit is due. The food tasted good and portions were decent. This was unfortunately overshadowed by the remaining negative experience. When we arrived, we were the ONLY clients in the restaurant. Despite sitting down right away, there was only one waitress and took too long to greet us and take our order. She seemed occupied with take out orders. Once our order was taken, and curiously she had gloves on, she went to the kitchen and came out with cardboard boxes, all the while still with the same gloves on. Then the cook in the kitchen came out and left out the front door, again with gloves on, then returned and went back into the kitchen with the same gloves. Then the waitress stepped out of the restaurant with gloves, and returned to the kitchen a few minutes later the same. Then she came out with our food which she brought to our table, with the same gloves, which by now were visually soiled. When she came back with more of our food, we asked her why she had the gloves on. She appeared confused, as if she was following the instructions of the establishment. When we pointed out to her that the gloves had not been changed since we arrived, despite handling dishes, boxes, and stepping out. She immediately removed the dirty gloves and apologized. We asked if they had a certificate that confirmed they had passed a health inspection but she was unaware of anything. We asked to speak with the manager/owner but no one was available to speak to. This left us very concerned as to the cleanliness and sanitation standards and hoped we would not be impacted by the food we ate.
I hope that if the owner reads this review, they can follow up and ensure that the staff are properly trained with sanitation protocols. And hopefully post their certification from Health Canada.

The takeout food was fresh, but unfortunately flavourless and the chow mein noodles were spaghetti noodles. I’m sorry to provide so a poor review but I probably would have been more forgiving had the takeout package been sealed properly and not leaked/spilled all over my clothes and shoes.

My fiancée and I ate here. We really enjoyed our food. We may have missed the sign that says their hours because we definitely came in during their last hour open that day. No one else was there so we were served quickly and she was very nice! The portions are very good and the timing from order to table was not bad. We shared chicken noodles and a chicken stir fry style dish. Together it was very delicious. Not a bad choice for a date if you want some good asian food

The noodles were good, albeit slightly greasy. The soo guy was good, but the gravy was cold. The slamming door made it hard to enjoy the meal.

We looked for simple and affordable Chinese food and this place is great. Nothing fancy, just a family run restaurant but the food is fresh and the taste is authentic (home made style). It was a good break from western food for us.
Good options for Vegetarians. We had Singapore style Noodles and Fried Rice - both delicious. Clean restaurant and good service.

Was craving simple, authentic Chinese food for dinner and happened across Lucky House. Ordered the Sliced Tender Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, and Deep Fried Tofu and Vegetable. Impressed with the veg in each dish, cooked well and with the right amount of 'crunch' (gai lan, broccoli, carrots, etc.). Service was polite and food was brought out in a timely manner. And of course, the meal wouldn't be complete without a fortune cookie! We shared 2 dishes and a bowl of rice between two people, which was a good amount for dinner. The atmosphere was a little plain and dated. However, the food was solid and we'd recommend. Their menu has pictures as well for those who want a visual guide of what to order.

Ordered a few dishes for takeout this evening, and wow, were they tasty! Our fave - the wide rice noodle, beef and black bean dish. We asked for it spicy and it was really delicious.
Really good, fresh food, big portions and very fair prices. Cute (and very clean) little dining room as well.

I ordered from the restaurant online, and it was very smooth to pick up. The portions are big, and soups freshly made. I got the beef fried rice noodles, which had lots of meat, and was quite tasty. Even had fortune cookies to go with the meal, which was a nice touch!
Support local businesses especially family run ones!
