“Very cute spot with a good view of the harbour. It was a little crowded, but vibes are still really cozy and relaxed. Latte was amazing, and the wrap and sandwich were also really great. Coffee was pretty good, but was almost room temperature. A great spot to stop for lunch!“

“We arrived too late and missed out on some of the most popular dishes so we had to settle for a double chocolate cherry cookie (yum) and some of their great coffee. Seems the place was overrun with a tourist busload earlier so it was a bit messy in the cafe, but that didn't take away anything from our snack time.Worth it....“

“We were on vacation in NL and stayed 2 nights at the B&B next door to this place. We stopped for lunch on day 1 simply because it was convenient & we didn't have a lot of time. It was so good we made a special trip to go back for lunch on the second day. Both days my wife had the same sandwich and I tried 2 different ones and they were all delicious. We had not one single complaint. The staff are all friendly especially the cashier, she was a treasure. Now, if they only carried Dr Pepper Zero.“

“Having seen reviews to this restaurant, I wanted to try the toutons. In my opinion, it was similar to a deep fried dough. It did give a good complimentary texture to the savory bean and crispy bacon. I would rate the presentation 10/10. However, the quality is 8/10. Fruits were fresh and plentiful. The service was great and attentive. I went after the busy lunch service (2pm) and was served no more than 10 minutes of ordering. Would recommend a try!Dietary restrictions: Has a variety of options for all types of dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Although I haven't seen a kids' menu but normal options would satisfy their tastes.“

“Adorable cats, we had the London fog hot chocolate and it was amazing. Super flexible on timing despite us coming early. The cats were really cute and friendly, also very clean space. Price was a bit steep but wife was happy so it is okay :)“

“Gayle and I very much enjoyed our Day 1 Lunch at the Red Oak at The Rooms. My guess is that Red Oak is the catering company that operates this scenic (with a killer view of the waterfront including the Narrows) at the Rooms. The restaurant is on a higher floor and once we were done with our Lunch we explored The Rooms from Top to Bottom. Since Newfoundland (and Labrador) is a maritime province we wisely chose seafood dishes, Seafood Stew for Gayle and Cod Cakes for me. Of course we shared. Washing all that down (besides water) was a wee pint of local ale from me and an Oyster Bay (New Zealand) Chardonnay for Gayle. It was all delicious and with stellar service to match. This dining experience was certainly a great start to our St. John's visit.“

“Ordered with Doordash, the food was so fantastic I had to go out of my way to give it a good review on Google and on the app- cheap delicious food that reminds you of home- you cannot go wrong if you want a filling, cheap, honest meal. My personal recommendation would be the meat potato pie- but the grilled cheese is definitely as good as other reviews say. The menu is also definitely much more inspiring than many other similar restaurants and cafes- while again having better pricing.Vegetarian options: There are a ton of vegetarian options, grilled cheese you can’t go wrong with, especially with the added flavour of their speciality grilled cheeses such as basil and grilled onion.Kid-friendliness: Lots of simple kids options, including grilled cheese that even assures parents/guardians that it’s just cheese and a very small amount of spice- there was also another kids option that had the description that it was not at all spicy.Dietary restrictions: Every option on the menu states if it’s gluten free, vegetarian, etc“

“Very nice little cafe on the edge of the War Memorial in downtown St. John's. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the cold drinks and treats we had were delicious. The atmosphere is kinda eclectic and fun and theybhave a cozy dining area upstairs on the back that looks out across the War Memorial and up Water Street. We will be visiting again!“

“Great place for a break and refreshment while exploring Signal Hill. The hot chocolate was amazing, not watery, not thick, but full chocolatey goodness! Several flavours and choices of dark or milk chocolate (we went with the dark). We actually tried it twice, once during a rainy day and the second time on a cool, bright morning, so it really hit the spot. Of course, the staff were very friendly and efficient.“

“This place is amazing. It’s great for pick up and delivery. The best kind breakfast sandwich in a butter croissant is perfect. The Casablanca bar was tasty too. I also order hummus and crackers which are great if you are trying to be healthy. The crackers are made of flaxseed blend and gluten free. It’s nice place for a health conscious person, and someone who can’t be bothered with it to go. The prices are great. I put this place on the top of my door dash list. So happy I chose to order from here.Vegetarian options: They have vegan options.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten friendly items on the menu as well.“

“This was our first time visiting Zachary’s restaurant in downtown St. John’s. The service was great, although it was a very busy Saturday morning. The fish and brews was excellent.. such a Newfoundland delicacy. The eggs Benedict was good, but my eggs were slightly over cooked for my liking. I would definitely visit again :)“

“I really like Jumping Bean, they have most definitely won me over!The food here is really good. I've had many different sandwiches, pastries, bagels, and cookies, and let me tell you... they're all DELICIOUS. I don't know how they do it, but they do.The coffee here tastes great and they have a wonderful selection of brews. The other drinks are great too!The atmosphere here is what keeps me coming back just as much as the great food+drinks. It's so relaxing and welcoming here. It's bright inside with natural light, it's open, yet cozy. I love coming here to do my work and just relax.PS the picture I've added to this review is a beautiful sunset I saw when leaving one day.
