“So happy when the The Battery Cafe opened where the old groc & conf had been. Not only is it a welcoming & relaxing place, with a delicious selection of pastries and great coffee, it's morphed into a cultural hub with nightly offerings of music, poetry, storytelling. Love this is in my 'hood.“

“Scott and his crew at Coffee Matters are second to none! I recently ordered their box lunch for a work event with 70+ people. We have many folks with dietary restrictions, and not only was everyone accommodated, everything as absolutely delicious. There are options galore, and for catered lunches, it’s definitely the best bang for your buck in town. They also deliver to you, making everything a breeze. I couldn’t recommend their services enough!“

“I love a good mocha, and so far in st johns had only found satisfactory ones, but not a truly great mocha....until I tried Madras. this is one of the best mochas I have ever had. can't wait to try more items from the menu“

“This place has the BEST strawberry spinach salad in the city! It’s impossible to leave any on your plate! It doesn’t matter if you are dining in or taking it away they make sure you have all you need to enjoy every bite! The staff certainly make it a pleasurable experience!“

“This is a pleasant restaurant if you want something to eat when you're visiting the museum.
There wasn't a big selection of items on the menu but what they served was good. I had the seafood chowder which was really good. My wife had the bratwurst which she found a bit too gamey for her but I thought it was fine.
If you can get a table near the windows you'll be rewarded with some lovely views down over St. John's.“

“Great to stop and take in the views and enjoy the chocolate stop on the Rock. Had a great selection in the coffee shop within the visitors centre. Outdoor trails and seating are an absolute must to enjoy while in the most Easterly point of this great nation 🇨🇦✈“

“I took a wrong bus and ended up here by accident, but I'd call that a happy accident since this place is great!
The staff were super nice and let me stay until I was able to be picked up.
The interior is cozy and warm, with plenty of lounge chairs to sit down and relax in. I ended up getting the classic ham breakfast sandwich and an oatcake while I was there. The sandwich was decent, nothing to write home about, but the oatcake was great!
Overall, I'd come back here again!“

“Another neat cafe/bakery/eatery in downtown St. John's. Pastries were highly recommended and it's now easy to see why. As with the other coffee places, Rocket Bakery offers a unique atmosphere along with fresh baked items. Only tried during the morning so cannot comment on the lunch items but they're also highly recommended.“

“We received the most incredible service from Karyn 💖 Her food all looks absolutely amazing, so with her guidance, we were able to pick the most delicious savoury and sweet platters! They were such a hit! Karyn was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end and her love of what she does shows in her food! You can taste that’s it’s made with love 💖 Hands down the best platters I have ever had!“
