Right inside the hotel so easy access. Food was good but took a while. Nice menu local food. Waitstaff was wonderful and friendly. Nice views from the windows and pls Ty if room between tables
We heard some mixed reactions about Georgie’s Restaurant in the Anchor Hotel but we were disappointed. The seafood chowder was somewhat flavourful but the broth was very thin, not at all like a chowder.. The fish cakes were terrible, with a texture of wet mashed potatoes, and just a slight fishy flavour. The burger was very thin and tasteless.
The pictures don’t do the food justice. We can’t stop thinking about the best bread and molasses balsamic brought out first, so simple and unique. We stumbled upon this place in its closing weeks, and there was a good crowd on for a Tuesday night. The one server and kitchen managed very well. I had the salmon, subbing mashed potatoes with extra vegetables that were cooked and seasoned to perfection, and my boyfriend had the burger - the fries were good. I would definitely...
