“Excellent little restaurant!!! Ordered their Sultani (came with a beef koobideh and filet mignon with seasoned chicken) a second plate of beef koobideh. Also ordered one tomato and one pepper dolmas. Everything is delicious and perfectly seasoned and portioned! Server is able to help with gluten free options if needed. It's a Kurdish and Persian style food, great food and good service. There are not a bustling squadron of employees which is fine, so patience is needed but well worth it.“
“Went there for lunch on a Friday. No issue getting seated right away. Definitely an interesting combo of a grocery story(which is a good place to get Middle Eastern groceries and prices seemed reasonable) and grill. My wife had a lamb shawarma, daughter had an eggplant and feta sandwich and I had a vegetarian platter. All were good—the eggplant/feta was probably the winner and all were filling. Nice stop and we will go back.“
“My Lebanese parents are very picky when it comes to middle eastern food and commented that the food at Shawarma Express was “outstanding” and gave it their stamp of approval. Excellent food every time! Don’t skip the appetizers! The hummus, baba gannoush, dolmas and falafel are all delicious.“
“Great Mediterranean food, solid portions, and reasonable prices. We had the vegetarian platter and the shawarma platter; kids all had Gyro platters. Everything was great, but I was particularly impressed with the tabouli and dolmas (especially because tabouli is normally something I'm not normally wild about). Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean.Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian, but I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian platter.Kid-friendliness: Kid meals are big portions and food comes fairly quickly.“
