These people know how to make vegan food. We're Texans… we know barbecue and their brisket was 100%, taste, texture, appearance, amazing barbecue. We had the nachos and even the cheese sauce was spot on. They DO have dairy options, so watch out for that.

I have had Root 66 quite a few different times but I feel like I always go back specifically for the nachos. I love nachos especially loaded nachos but the large amounts of dairy can sometimes hurt my stomach so I love the vegan nachos are an alternative way to get my fix without feeling any of the side effects that dairy has on my stomach. Got the elite sample platter and the vegan brisket nachos. Both were delicious, but next time I'm going to remember to ask for no/less jalapeños (a bit much for the 4 year old with me). For the meat-eaters out there, I thought this was a good imitation of brisket based on texture and taste (strands were shorter than "real" brisket, but seasonings were excellent).Atmosphere was wonderful with lots of outdoor seating on one of the first warm days this spring.
