“What the restaurant didn't have in quality, it made up with quantity and an amazing price. A huge enchilada plate -- stacked, New Mexico style -- was $9.29. A huge glass of iced tea added $3.00 (it was tasteless; I should have had water). The enchilada didn't have much flavor -- though the chicken tasted fresh -- and I could barely taste the chile. But the meal also came with a sopaipilla... which used to be a part of every meal at a new Mexican restaurant, but now most places charge a few dollars for one. I came in at 11:00 a.m. on a Wednesday, and the place was packed with people who looked like locals. If you're driving on to Farmington, you'll find a lot more choices there. Otherwise, is fulfill your stomach and go easy on your wallet!”

“So I decided to try this Taco Shop over here in Bloomfield New Mexico. And let me tell you this Taco Shop was so delicious I'm coming back tomorrow again. The beans and rice here oh my gosh so delicious homemade rice fluffy just the way like your mom would make them. So the tacos that I ordered was asada in trips. The tripas was crunchy and soft at the same time with a little fat on them. Here are a couple pictures of the food I ordered and the menu. You might think the price is a little high but it's worth it. The only downside was that I wish they had an order with three tacos and beans and rice instead of two tacos.”

“Been to a lot of subways around the country and this one, in the middle of nowhere, was one of the friendliest and quickest to get our order done. The young man who helped me with the condiments did something I never thought of doing and he tore up the pieces of spinach before putting it on my sandwich which makes it so much easier to eat. A small detail but meaningful to me. This will be a routine stopping point from now on as we frequently drive this direction through to Texas.”

“Went to 550 for the first time last week. Have been coming to NM/Farmington for years, now have re-located here and decided to try 550. It was great, got pizza from 550 Pizzeria and took it over, had great beers and and great atmosphere. Bartender (sorry dont remember her name...lots of tatts) was fantastic, crowd was mellow and as enjoyed my pizza and beer, I learned of all the cool stuff they host for the community. I will be back.”

“We’ve been driving past this building for decades. We finally decided to stop for breakfast on our way south, and are glad we did. Great food, atmosphere and service. Both the red and green chile are delicious.
We will certainly return.

Update: returned 3/17/26, again a delightful breakfast, smiling faces from the kitchen and our server. Very tender pork chops and perfect chilaquiles.”

“Server was pleasant and attentive to everything. Breadsticks were hot and crispy and there was plenty of marinara sauce for them. Pizza was hot and fresh and the air conditioner was on that extreme hot day. Hadn’t eaten there in a while but was definitely worth it. Thank you”
