About Cimarron Mercantile

Cimarron Mercantile is a charming restaurant in the small town of Cimarron, offering a simple yet delicious menu for breakfast and lunch. The menu features build-your-own paninis, sandwiches, salads, and now includes grass-fed beef burgers served on house-made buns. The fries are made from real potatoes and fried in beef tallow, providing a flavorful experience reminiscent of childhood memories from Europe. Visitors can enjoy the house coffee, which is good, and the atmosphere is enhanced by the beautiful old building with a cozy, old-world charm. The restaurant is located in a historic building from the late 1800s, formerly a Wells Fargo, adding to its unique character. It also offers a small shopping area with local goods, books, and magazines. Service is friendly and welcoming, with staff known for being kind and helpful. Guests can enjoy quick service and plenty of seating, making it an ideal stop for a meal on the go. The reasonably priced menu and the historic, cozy building make Cimarron Mercantile a great place to enjoy a tasty meal and experience a bit of local history. The Chorizo Breakfast Burrito is highly recommended, praised for its egg content, green chilies, and spicy tomato salsa, considered a unique treat. Overall, the restaurant provides a warm environment where visitors can relax, enjoy good food, and connect with the local community.

Stopped in for breakfast while staying at the St. James Motel. Great service delicious food. Enjoyed looking at the historic items as well!

The red chile fries were delicious yesterday evening! Very neat atmosphere and the ladies working were all great.

wow! Great grass-fed beef options. The cheeseburgers are large, served on house baked buns. The fries are actual potato, fried in grass fed tallow. The flavor is amazing. The staff are all very friendly and a great asset to Cimarron.
