“This is one of those unassuming little roadside stops that ends up having delicious food. The first time I visited was purely by chance during a raid trip back from Oregon. Now, my teenage boys and I have made it a new student driver's rite of passage to make the hour and 15 min drive out to Cuba for lunch at Mel's. Very reasonably priced, the staff have always been welcoming and friendly and the food puts all the fast food chicken to shame.“
“I ordered the noodle bowl with beef and I got the option to have it spicy or not spicy. Best believe I ordered it spicy and let me tell you! It was DELICIOUS!! They pack this bowl with so much food and you get an awesome surprise of white rice underneath all of it which is great! the side servings of slaw and pickled onions was a great combination!“
