After going through the entire exhibit of the "founders" of the city we came to a room and my wife said, "Ah, look at that. Entire museum dedicated to the rich white people and only a small room dedicated to the original settlers. It was a nice museum. But I agreed with my wife.

Incredible museum in Deming which brings together a large collection of objects which trace the entire history of the city, the county and which is immense! The collections are the result of donations from people in the city. Free entry but donations appreciated. Considering the work and volunteer work that this requires, it seems logical to slip in a small ticket when leaving to encourage the continuation of this place and help them maintain the place. Stop if you pass by and want to learn more about the region. Thank you to the people who warmly welcomed us and particularly to the gentleman who answered our questions

A ol timing museum with much to see! As an old armory, it has so much space for all kinds of exhibits! Even a second floor. It's a really great wall though not only Deming's history but American history. I only wish there was more info boards on the history of the Mimbres and their pottery. As a Pueblo Native, I was enjoying seeing these types of exhibits. There's a gift shop and other historical places to see nearby. This is definitely a must stop visit if you're in Deming!

This is a big history museum in a small town with a history richer than many large cities. The exhibits are stunningly detailed in their attention to small things. Almost as if presented as a counterpoint to the little things, there are large full-sized vehicles in two or three areas that give us a sense of having been transported back into time. As a history lover, I was blown away. If museums reflect the community where they are based, Deming must be one amazing place.

This Museum surprised me with their collection. They need to write an article on Texas Highways about it. I could have stayed there all day, so many great collections. I highly recommend it. Take your kids, take your time reading and enjoy the collections. I fell in love with Deming. I will make the drive yearly and definitely stop here. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable.

I was so amazed not just the quantity of interesting items but the creative displays and comprehensive descriptions of the history.This is a DO NOT miss location .The staff was helpful and well informed.The geode room was absolutely fantastic.
I wasn't at the museum I was across the street from the museum but the museum is nice to hang out and go look at a bunch of stuff the history of Deming everything is a bunch of nice stuff that you can see in there a lot of artifacts you know stuff like that but it is an awesome place to go take your kids and they can learn some history of how damning look back in the days but the museum is awesome

This museum is an absolute gem! My dad and I were on our way back to Phoenix from New Mexico and I looked up "Military museums" since my dad is a huge fan of all things military. This museum popped up in my search and since it was so highly rated and was right off the I-10, there was no reason not to stop by (plus, it's free!). And we were so happy we did. We were both so impressed by the building, the exhibits that cover a vast array of subjects, the impeccably kept facility, and the super friendly and helpful staff. This museum is so unassuming from the outside, then when you go in and start to walk the building and the exhibits just go on and on! I highly recommend the Deming Luna Mimbres Museum! You could really spend hours in there!
