When I say this is the best food I’ve ever had it feels like a warm hug no matter if it’s take out or eaten there this place is 1000/10 will definitely eat there for the rest of my life.
Every time I come to Las Cruces I come here the Food is amazing and everyone is so kind 🥰
Price went up 2 and food portions are much smaller then before.

Golden Star is a classic Chinese food spot with combos offering 1-3 meats and rice or noodles (or both). The food is really good, with plenty of veggies and meat. A 2 item tray with rice and noodles is about $9 plus tax, making prices very reasonable. They also do some pretty good smoothies. The people are the most friendly and honest; one customer left a wallet on the counter and it was secured safely with nothing missing. Quick, cheap, and filling Chinese takeout is available, though some find it a bit salty. The wonton soup is now fabulous, delicious with crunchy noodles and oily hot sauce. However, some dishes were lacking. The sweet and sour chicken was exactly as expected, but the kung pao chicken tasted only like white pepper. The broccoli beef had chewy beef and a blah sauce. The lo mein looked like spaghetti with a light coating of marinara, and the sauce was again blah. The fried rice was ok, but the mapo tofu was surprisingly not bad with a variety of flavors.
