“The Huevos Rancheros and Chile Relleno were some of the best we’ve ever eaten! We enjoy traveling New Mexico for the unique style of flavors of Mexican food only found in this state! The red and green sauces were the authentic deep flavors and the salsa is zappy but flavorful. Our waitress, Leslie encouraged us to try the Calabacitas and tasty whole Borracho Beans? Both were beyond any we’ve eaten previously. Leslie gave us excellent service and was very friendly. The ambience is dated authentic adobe with bright colors and mural paintings. We highly recommend La Nuevo Casita Cafe!“

“Very Disappointed – While the food was decent, the experience was ruined by overhearing staff refer to me as “it” and then say, “oh my god, it’s a grandma.” Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful each time we go. Management either participates or is oblivious.“

“First time there. My little sister and I had gordotas, with the hamburger meat. Not as crispy as my mama's, but, they were good. The sopapias were raw inside. Was told they will be extending the hours until 1900 hours. They closed at 1500 hours, we got there alittle before, so still good. Sure they were also ready to go home.“

“It’s actually a nice little restaurant with patio seating. Friendly & prompt service is always a plus. We looked at and asked a few questions. My wished her Chimichanga and melted cheese inside to compliment the Beef which she liked. She also wished they heated and melted the shredded cheese on top the Chimichanga, Beans & Rice…while warm they never melted the cheese. I had the Chicken Fandito plate, while made different than what I’m used I thought it all good and tasty. My only complaint is they don’t offer/have any hotter salsa or bottled hot sauce…I thought was kinda out of the ordinary for a Mexican Restaurant. All in all it was good and well try more next time passing through Las Cruces“

“I still can’t believe how much food and how good it was along with the low price point. I honestly think they have made a mistake but it was a win for me. I got the combo which comes with one taco, two enchiladas, one relleno and some chile con carne. First of all, it came in two full plates to go, with one container completely full with beans, rice and chile verde con carne. There was a huge amount of carne. And a taco laying on top of the rice. The second container had two big enchiladas and the relleno. Then there was the bag with the sopaipilla. And the bag with chips and three kinds of salsa. I really enjoyed the food and especially the chile con carne. The green chile on everything was a delicious sauce. For $14 this is two meals, maybe more if you aren’t a big eater. It also was really quick in line. I highly recommend.“
