About Smiling Faces Restaurant

Smiling Faces Restaurant is a popular spot for delicious New Mexican cuisine. Despite being short-staffed, the restaurant is handling the situation well, ensuring that food is still served with a smile. The atmosphere is unique, with a strong religious presence, including angels and Bible scriptures throughout. While this may not appeal to everyone, the staff is friendly and non-judgmental. Menu items include the highly recommended Navajo Taco, which has received enthusiastic praise from customers. Other dishes like the Pork Chop and Egg dish are also available. The food is made fresh when ordered, so it may take a little while, but the wait is worth it as the food comes out hot and delicious. Red chili is extremely good and hot, and the sopapillas are huge and tasty. Enchiladas are also excellent, making this one of the best places for New Mexican food. The restaurant offers good service and a welcoming atmosphere, even accommodating customers who arrive just after closing time. While some have found the food to be merely okay, many remember their favorite dishes fondly and appreciate the friendly service from the staff. Overall, Smiling Faces Restaurant is a great choice for authentic New Mexican cuisine served with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, making it a place where everyone can feel like family.

The food was ok. You could taste the grease on most of it, from the fries to the sopapilla, it was overwhelming to say the least. It was super religious in there which I thought was weird. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone driving through nor would I go back. I did like our waitress though, she was straight to the point.
It was okay. I heard about this place from a coworker and I drove from Albuquerque to Las Vegas NM, and it wasn't worth the drive or the price we paid. $50 just for me and my husband.
I was returning home from a Mountain Man muzzle loading activity innorthern New Mexico and stopped for lunch. Very nice place and excellent service and good food!
