“Traveling is fun but can be exhausting. We are Southern California residents and had dinner here after a long day. We knew what we wanted. Good meat and fresh salad! the buffet was so good...my wife wanted to tell everyone! We ran into someone on the way out and she raved about it...to the daughter of the business owner Terry!! This is a local well-loved establishment - 30years this past Feb 2026...check it out. Five stars!!!!!”

“jan 10, 2026 I’ve visited this restaurant before without any issues, so this experience was disappointing. When we entered and sat down to eat, a street vendor selling empanadas came into the restaurant. She did not appear to be affiliated with the restaurant. After we placed our drink order, our waitress directed the vendor to our table. Unfortunately, we only had a card to pay, and the vendor stated she did not accept cards. This led to visible frustration from both the vendor and our waitress. Other staff members later brought out our food, and two waitresses attempted to console the vendor, but the situation made us uncomfortable. We were simply there to enjoy a meal and pay for our food, and we did not expect to be put in an awkward position involving a third-party vendor. We have never experienced anything like this here before, but due to feeling pressured and uncomfortable, we’ve decided not to return. We hope the restaurant considers clearer boundaries between staff and outside vendors so future guests don’t have a similar experience. “I really love cornerstone! Their food is amazing and for the most part the staff are very sweet. When ordering online though, it’s never consistent. Sometimes it takes me to their online platform and sometimes it takes me to DoorDash. Today it was DoorDash and when placing the order it did not give me the option to add extras (syrup, cream) in my tea. I just added it to the special requests. Not expecting anything free and fully prepared to pay for it. When I picked up the order nothing was mentioned and I was told I had paid online already. When I looked at my receipt there was a, not very nice, note telling me to charge myself next time. That those items weren’t free. I feel like it would have been more professional to just let me know when I arrived that those items weren’t charged. I would have quickly apologized and paid. After reading the note I went up and paid for my extras, but it made me feel pretty bad as a customer. Wish it would have been handled better.”

“It was first thing in the morning and somehow the donuts weren't even fresh, they were super cold. I kinda figured with them just opening that they would have just made the donuts fresh but didn't seem that way. They lady taking our order/serving us at the drive thru window wouldn't even actually come to the window to speak to us and take our order. She stayed over by the register having to slightly yell to us to be heard which in turn we also had to do the same thing for her to hear us as well..”

“I’ve been working in Lovington stumbled across this nice little place to eat.The atmosphere is wonderful and they make you feel right at home.The food is delicious ….If you have a chance to eat there,I recommend it.”

“The burritos here are FAT. I work 10-12+ hours a day and I get two of them to eat on all day. Chorizo, egg, bacon, & cheese. $11. I usually tip $4. $15 breakfast & lunch. Hard to beat.”

What I had -
Steak and noodle soup, Breaded veal cutlets with okra and onion rings.
Nice and quiet. Relaxing atmosphere.
Attentive, friendly and accommodating service.

The soup is excellent, wonderful flavorful broth.
Steak is tender.

Veal is tender, country gravy pairs well.
Pretty standard fare with the fried okra and onion rings.

Comfort food..

A nice place to momentarily decompress.

The wood grain detail in the restaurant itself is a nice touch, warm and inviting.

Would definitely come back for the relaxing atmosphere alone.”
