Asked for an old fashioned and the bartender completely forgot what I ordered. Had to retell him twice and got the smallest cocktail I had ever seen with a disgusting blackened and bruised orange slice for $18. This bar sucks for such a nice hotel.

They over charged for an average at best margarita, bartender was fast enough but seemed to prefer chatting with the other bartender over his patrons. El Dorado hotel need to really look at the food service aspect of their business because I have had a terrible experience at their bar and restaurant in 24 hours....

Contrary to other reviews, Cava in El Dorado Hotel has a brief but potent list of cocktails. Service is great. Mixology impresses. Perhaps the decor is a bit odd in the quest to fill the cavernous space. I attend specifically for their "El Conquistador" margarita.

While staying at the Eldorado, we decided to get a cocktail here before going to dinner. I must say, the worst bartender ever. Ordered a whiskey sour and I think they left the Whiskey out. Ordered a Moscow Mule and it was horrible. Tasted like no "Mule" I've ever had. Bartender's here need a mixology lesson like no one business!

My boyfriend and I visited Cava for a busy happy hour. We tried the salt cod fritter sandwich (too salty), the mussels (great), the shrimp (very good), and the pincho sandwiches (fantastic). He had a Conquistador and I had the tinto de verano. All were good and the service was good, especially given how busy it was. However, when it came time to pay, we discovered we had been overcharged for the tinto, which was advertised at $8 on the menu and should have also had a happy hour discount. We asked the bartender to fix our bill, since our waitress was nowhere to be found (probably understandably busy with other customers), and he only fixed the price of one drink and didn't give a discount. Since we ended up having 3 tintos, it seems we were likely overcharged by at least $10. We would have made a bigger fuss but it was so busy and both of us work in the service industry, so we left feeling a little cheated. Please make sure your servers are paying better attention to happy hour discounts and menu prices.
