Super sweet guy and quick service . The shop is small but really cool and unique to Santa fe. Definitely come support this business before he is forced to close in 2022 due to hotel construction.

He makes spectacular espresso. The coffee stand is tucked into the side of the street near the Eldorado. You'll be greeted by what feels like you're seeing you're 1970's uncle who has kept his history intact. Charming gold rimmed round glasses, a red bandana headband and a kind voice that takes your order and while you're waiting for your drinks, you view all the history in his little coffee corner in the world. It's a great stop for good coffee.

Absolutely amazing coffee. Not only was the coffee phenomenal the service was amazing. Sad to learn they will be closing for a hotel to take its place

Literally one of my favorite coffee places anywhere, and said that Bill will be retiring/closing soon for a new hotel that will be built on the space. If you haven't been go soon. He uses Caffe d'arte beans for a perfect long pull of Italian-style coffee. Tiny, cute, bohemian, story-filled, and endearingly-friendly, this was a joyful discovery.

Wow! Such good coffee and espresso in a quirky little hole in the wall place. I loved the vibe! Thanks for making my Santa Fe experience so awesome

We discovered this place when we were about to leave town. Great spot to grab on the go breakfast. In my opinion, their caramel macchiato is better than Starbucks.

This place is great! Tucked away near the plaza and tiny but the best iced chai I've had in Santa Fe.
Best. Damn. Espresso. Period. The place is so small, you could miss it - but sometimes the really special things are. The door of Holy Spirit Espresso is like a portal to another world. The tiny space brims with energy - thankful customers cards and notes paper the counter, Bill's family photos are on the wall, toys/tchotchkes from all over are attached to different surfaces - there's as much energy in the space as in the espresso shots Bill pulls. Bill the owner/barista is an artist driving a vintage car of an espresso machine, doing inspired work out of love from this tiny hole-in-the-wall joint. It's a coffee shrine in a space just big enough to come in and order - and Bill takes pride in making a perfect shot. And it was. I've had espresso - few compared to this. It's great and rare for an artist to take such pleasure in his work - and your experience of it. If you want a Starbucks, they're up the road. If you want something special, make the pilgrimage to Holy Spirit. The spirit will move you!

4 stars for the ambience and the contrast between the hole-in-the-wall vibe and the plaza, 3 stars for coffee which was okay (actually tasted better cold the next day - flavor came out more?). Gives you a sense of having been where a lot of other tourists and locals have been, in a small space, and connected to all the travelers the barista has met.

Great little hole-in-the-wall place. Bill is such a fun person to talk to! His shop reminds me of a kiosk in New York City. Google maps doesn’t quite get you there - you need to go all the way to the corner of the street and you’ll see the place. Four star rating for coffee - oat capuccino was just ok - the foam melted away quickly and the espresso didn’t have a particularly tasty flavor.

Coffee shops don’t get better than this one. True local gem.
