“We can't say enough good things about this restaurant . In Santa Fe for the long weekend and chose to eat a Alkeme. From start to finish this was a great experience. The front of house staff were great, the waitresses were knowledgeable , wine served in tandem with the courses. Great menu. Meat, fish or veggie/vegan set menu or a la carte. Either party can chose what they like. Quality of food was excellent , mix of authentic Vietnamese (we lived in Asia for 20 years) with a modern interpretation . No fussy or pretentious just fine morsels of food, all of which was exceedingly well executed . Chapeau to the chef and the team. If modern Vietnamese is what you are looking for, you've found it.“

“I had the spring ? (rice paper) rolls and pork and shrimp on vermicelli. The Spring Rolls were O.K, nothing to write home about mainly due to a (watered down) peanut sauce, that DID NOT, in any way taste 'peanutty'. I even tasted the sauce with a spoon and did NOT taste the flavor of peanuts. I have had a dish like this at dozens of Thai restaurants so.... I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, COMPRENDE! They also 'fell apart' while eating them.
The Pork and Shrimp on vermicelli was very good. Maybe a 5 star. Rich and flavorful! The menu itself was DISAPPOINTING! I AlmLWAYS retry and help a restaurant out by pointing out OBVIOUS flaws in whatever I eat or see that needs 'work' and the menu was ine of them. As I stated before I have ate at DOZENS of DIFFERENT Thai restaurants and a number of Vietnamese restaurants. Menus should ALWAYS describe the dishes and WHAT IS IN THEM. Like sauces, vegetables, legumes, and WHATEVER ELSE to HELP SOMEONE not FAMILIAR with the dishes. All it listed was the meat and noodle! Well, as I JUST STAYED, MOST EVERY OTHER restaurant DOES DO THIS NECESSARY thing. I told the waitress this and she did say the menu hasn't been updated since 1981 (I suppose this is when they first opened, no idea). 44 years!!!!! Yeah, I know, and the table next to me kinda looking at ME wondering what's going on. ANSWER..... Me, TRYING TO HELP! SO ALL I. ALL I give it a 4 star. Your peanut sauce is abysmal. FIX IT. Your menu SUCKS Redo it!“

“Picked this place for lunch because I was looking for Bún Bò Huê (spicy beef noodles). I wanted a warm spicy soup because it's getting cold out, and they certainly delivered. It was a flavorful, hearty soup with tender slices of beef and lots of chili oil. It's a huge bowl too. I think I ate about 1/3. The take home packaging is quite thoughtful. They give you two containers so you can separate the noodles from the broth and keep them from getting soggy.“
