Where do I start? If I could, I would give 3.5 stars. I hadn't been to Bella's in a couple of years. The one item on the menu that I was looking forward to was chile en nogada. It just wasn't as good as it used to be. Not enough sauce, I guess. We ordered margaritas, and one came Ina noticeably smaller glass. Food is excellent! The owner is personable and lovely. She knows the right recommendations to make. Fresh guac made at the table. The flan is to die for! (Grandma's recipe; you can never go wrong with Grandma)The Tres Leches is perfect! Service is a little slow, but I've found that to be true of all the restaurants in Taos. More time to sit and enjoy your company.
Came here for Thanksgiving lunch. The chips were hearty and salsa just spicy enough. The enchilada was delicious yet different from what I'm used to - perhaps it is authentic New Mexican style? In any case, I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Taos!
