I've been trying to eat here for a few weeks, and they're always closed even though it says open on Google. You should update your info!

Wonderful food and atmosphere!

We absolutely love El Gamal! Beautiful and warm atmosphere with scrumptious Indian and Middle Eastern food. Owners are very caring and involved in the community

This is our go-to place for lunch. Thank goodness they're open for take-out during this awful pandemic. Can't live without those avacado sandwiches!

The food was good to say the least. The staff was amazing and the place is too good. It shows the love that has been put into it through various elements spread out all around the place.

Food was okay, ambience was alright too but the service was inefficent. Wasn't even busy and never got checked upon even once. Glad that I went there just to find out I won't be ever going there again! I would give them zero star if it was possible.

Amazing lunch of roasted tomato soup with goat cheese and Dahl with eight different toppings. Great vibe and great service, feels like being home

Yum, Yum, Yum. I went to this place twice during my stay in Taos. One of few dedicated vegetarian/vegan spots in town. They have a lot of vegan options and many things can be made vegan. The vibe is so cool and hip, it makes you want to keep coming back. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is heavily influenced with Middle Eastern and Israeli flavors, with almost everything made in house. The open kitchen makes for an authentic feel. The drink and food specials are also great and make eating here regularly exciting. I will be coming back.

Truly phenomenal food and service. Every aspect was perfect. Cute homey restaurant as well.

My husband, our grand daughter and I stopped for lunch and it turned out to be a great place for us. They have a playroom in the back of the restaurant and our grand daughter (aged 5) enjoyed playing there until our food was ready. She had the pizza and we had the platter with 5 items. We enjoyed it. We loved their limonade with mint as well as their Turkish coffee and pastry. We selected the cheese cake and the baklava. Everything is reasonably priced.

Excellent lunch or dinner choice for any vegan (or vegetarian!) in Taos. Never been disappointed!

My sister took me here on a recent visit. It is one of her favorites in Taos, and I can see why. Not only can you order delicious Mediterranean food, but they had an Indian sampler that was fantastic and included your choice of 3 curries plus appetizers. We ordered samosas which were flaky and flavorful, and the bread was fluffy and helped make sure none of the sauce was wasted. A glass of Chardonnay was the perfect accompaniment after a long day of travel, but they offer yummy golden tea with turmeric as well. But the best part was Alicia who made us feel so warm and welcomed. She has put in thoughtful touches such as a play area for little ones so Mom and Dad can have a romantic date night as well as funky artistic lights and a pool table in the back. Definitely give this place a try. I highly recommend it.
