I wish the plating of the duck dish would be a bit different. We couldn't enjoy the sauce much without ordering the sourdough bread. Also if spoons were provided without asking as the sauces go to waste and we cannot enjoy them with the fork so the amazing sauces are wasted.“

“I've been coming to the Italian Market for over 10 years. It's my favourite lunch spot in Halifax. Really reasonable prices, especially considering the quality you're getting. Brought a friend for lunch and he was blown away at the good portion sizes for the price, and the service is always friendly. Lots of niche imported Italian goods on the grocery spot as well.“

“This was their first night openning with the new staff. It was unfortunate that their on-line ordering and WiFi stopped working. That left them in a bind as more and more people came in person at all the same time. They were filling out orders the old fashioned way with pen and paper. Also two new staff did not show up for work. That placed them further behind during rush hour on a Friday night. It did not bother us as we came in off the street without pre-ordering. The servise was very friendly and they delivered our order relatively quickly, given their circumstances. My wife ordered a small BBQ chicken pizza. She loved it. I ordered a large donair. It was not as I expected. Their donair spit was not hooked up yet so they had to cook previously frozen meat. I liked the flavour but not the texture. The manager assured me they will be getting the right meat soon and will cook it up fresh. I cannot express our sympathy enough to the couple in charge because of their unfortunate circumstances. It may have taken a few extra minutes but I've seen worse service elsewhere. My wife, Janet and I are perfectly willing to give this Pizza Town another chance. Maybe not immediately but in the near future. We'll give them a chance to iron out their few kinks first.“
