“This place is my non negotiable when visiting Halifax. A lot of breweries are good, but just breweries. Nine Locks seems to tick all the boxes and well to boot! They have a beer for everyone, and even more; tried the purple margarita on the side this time and it was solid.
The vibe at this place is exactly what it ought to be.... Low key, friendly, dogs, kids, people from all different cuts, smiles and chill.
Always grab some merch on the way out and happy to report our office now has a (long overdue) Frig Off button 😀.

“North is one of our favorite local spots. They host fun events (the drag shows are wild and I love to see that type of support in our community). We love the atmosphere, food is great, staff is always lovely and the beer is always good - in fact, their sours are beyond the best around and I really hope they start brewing them again. I was definitely a bit disappointed that they haven't offered one recently so.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back your sours! I also think their merchandise offered is more stylish then a lot of other similar places. It has a unique surf/beachy vibe that I hope they continue. What's even better is that they offer a 15% discount you can use on merch, if you show your receipt after dining in their taproom! Keep up the great work!“

“I visited the Gottingen taproom on Monday. Returning from the airport my drinking buddy and I stopped at the Bedford taproom Tuesday. We were both surprised to see a drive-thru, but why not, eh?
He had the Galaxy and I had Nimbus. Both were quite good. The pineapple flavour of Nimbus is great.

“The tour of Mr. Keith’s beautiful old buildings included some interesting history, brewing techniques, music & storytelling, and plenty of delicious free beer. Really fantastic experience and I’m glad we did it. Well worth the money.“

“Always stop here if in town. They've changed the layout since I was here last. Lots of inside and outside seating and lot of beer choices but I was missing a draft lager this time. I also didn't see food this time but I didnt really require so there might be some and bad on me gor not asking. The Irish Red was very good and the weather was great to sit outside and enjoy. The crew were friendly..of course it Halifax. Pop by, enjoy a beer .“

“I tasted my first Exile on North Street at the Library Pub in Wolfville yesterday! Wow! It knocked me off my chair with lip smacking flavours! My wife who’s not a big IPA drinker lapped it up and we both look forward to picking some up at Unfiltered Brewing and tasting it and all their offerings real soon! Congratulations for creating liquid masterpieces!

“This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“
