“We love this restaurant. It's always been our “go to” since our first date when it was “LaPerla” 35 years ago. There was a bit of a noisy table behind us behind us this last evening and we like to go there because it's generally quiet. Things did settle down and the food( which is always great) and Jorge's excellent service more than made up for it!“
“The new Lamb dishes like Rogan Josh and Lamb Chettinad are an absolute delight. Lamb was extremely tender and in decent quantity. Curries were extremely rich and flavorful.I also tried their Chicken Lollipop which is basically crispy fried chicken wings but with a deep flavor of wonderful spices. It came with a mint chutney. I loved it.I will try the Prawn dishes next.“
“Have been getting curry from this place for months now. It's our go to place for curry. The curries are authentic made from scratch, have tried most of the menu but their butter chicken, Afghani Chicken and Kadai Chicken are our favorite's. Also love the Jeera rice! Naan bread is soft and moist, while not made in a tandoori oven it's awesome. Highly recommend but call and place your order to schedule a pick, it takes time to make curries from scratch!“
“If I had known it was in a shopping mall, I wouldn't have come; I'm glad I didn't know! We moved up from Atlanta just a few years ago, and finding food that has not been turned bland & sweet has been challenging. Makhani has managed to remain true to its ethnic roots, while simultaneously being willing to accommodate more delicate palettes. My kids have a broad, often incompatible spectrum of tastes in food, and Makhani succeeded in pleasing everyone.Good work, Makhani!“
“Swaad sagaa is a haven for Indian street food lovers. The vibrant flavors of momos, frankie and indo-Chinese bustling streets of India. With impeccable service and an authentic ambiance, it's a must-visit for those seeking a flavorful journey through the heart of Indian street cuisine.Vegetarian options: I loved the dabeli one of the best ones I have ever had“

“FOOD FOOD FOOD!!!!! What a delicious dinner me and my 25 friends had. It was a last minute notice but the owners were so helpful and made a full dinner for my group. I wish I could have taken a picture of how the food was organized but hey the smell of the food was good that we forgot everything. Thank you so much for your fabulous service.“
“Let’s be honest. Plenty of Indian restos in Halifax are sub-par. I am very impressed by the food here and the menu selection. Great classics and some interesting dishes too. The combination of spices was absolutely on point and nothing was too oily. Lamb curry super tender and excellently flavoured. Don’t miss happy hour from 4-6!“
“Really nice Indian restaurant . Store it self is small but when it comes to food , they did really a great job . When you compare this place with Indian tea in GTA(Ontario) , this restaurant is gonna win. Food is up to standard, the service was great . If you are Halifax, specially this area , must try this place . You will love it .Thank you guys for amazing food and experience.“
“Best authentic Indian food in Halifax! Got takeout and the butter chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh are amazing. The meat was so tender, and the flavour of the curries were incredible (the mild was definitely quite spicy so I would stick to that heat level!) Will be back!“
“We have long been loyal customers of Tawa. It is, by far, the best Indian food in Halifax. Recently we hosted a dinner party with dinner provided by Tawa. The service was wonderful and friendly, and the food was delicious. It is remarkable value.“
“Absolutely love getting a hearty brunch from Amin's! Everything on their menu is flavourful and mouth-wateringly delicious. And it's great that they offer frozen tubs of some of their dishes for a middle of the week dinner treat!Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian options for some of their curries.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten-free and vegan options.“
“I recently had dinner at this Indian restaurant and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive the ambiance was warm and inviting and the food was absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the flavorful spices and the tender meat in each dish. I will definitely be back!“
“I recently dined at famous curry Garden and enjoyed a delightful experience. The new Indo Chinese additions were a hit, with dishes like Bombay BHEL and Manchurian Fried Rice impressing us with their flavorful fusion. The Papdi aloo Chat retained its amazing taste, although the chutney had a new twist. The only disappointment was the Bombay Style Pav Bhaji, which fell a bit flat in comparison. The service was excellent, and despite a minor miss, famous Curry Garden remains a place to explore inventive flavors.“
“Best Restaurant in town !!!!! We had our Team dinner and booked the hall and food with Bombay Bistro, they really took care of everything. The Ambience was very beautiful. The food was Hot and very fresh. The food was very authentic and we loved the taste very much. The service was excellent. The desserts were made fresh and brought straight out of kitchen. In Specific their Aloo Tikki was out of the world. The whole team is Very Professional. Keep up the Great work Guys.“
“The ambiance is a delightful blend of modern and welcoming, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The staff exudes warmth and hospitality, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. Now, the food – a true paradise for the taste buds! Each dish is a symphony of flavors, showcasing the rich and diverse tapestry of Indian cuisine. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian food or a newcomer, India Paradise is a must-visit. A hearty recommendation for anyone seeking an exquisite culinary journey in Halifax.“
“Okay so went to this place with no expectations, order chhole kulcha ,we were 3 people and amazingly the whole bill was under 50 dollars or approximately around it but the taste was quite above average. I would highly recommend this place especially if u r around sackville.“
“Our go to place for Indian food. Chicken Masala wings are our favorite. Chicken roast with Kerala Parotta is a must combination. You can sit and eat there. Mango Lassi is kid’s favorite. There’s a sitting arrangement of 6/7 tables. Staff is very welcoming, good service.Parking: Placed place in Peakview area along the Larry Uteck, next to Shoppers drug mart“
“Its a good place to visit for Kerala dishes. Buffet on weekends is good. Food tastes good, service can be faster and can be improved. Its always been crowded when we visited , so pretty popular, parking available. They also have a grocery shop available next to “
“For lunch we went to Potikkis located on Pizza Corner and omg, their Chana masala fries, Chana masala rice bowl and apple fries were so delicious!!! Fast, fresh and full of flavour, Canadian comfort food with an Indian twist which is truly a perfect combo in my eyes. Options are clearly marked on the menu and the staff is just the SWEETEST! Thank you so much for the great service and scrumptious food!Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??Vegetarian options: Offers Chana masala fries or rice bowl and the apple fries without caramel sauce for vegan. Options are marked clearly on menu.“
“A very cozy restaurant, exactly what I wanted to visit. Courteous and nice service. Delicious food, although it was too spicy, despite the fact that we asked for as little spices as possible, but it is clear that this is still Indian cuisine, and it is primarily about spices. So if you don't like spicy, this might not be for you, but overall, it was very tasty. Desserts, as in the Indian tradition, were sweet and tasty. Clean, tidy. No bright lights and loud music. I believe that this place is definitely suitable for a romantic date and for friendly gatherings. But it should be taken into account that the restaurant is in the center of the city and there will be a problem with car parking. We parked a little further away and had to walk a little, but it didn't spoil our mood and overall impression. We ordered three different main dishes and three different desserts - everything turned out to be equally delicious. For example, the naan was clearly prepared in the restaurant and was very tasty. I recommendDietary restrictions: It was important to us that there was no gluten in the food. Everywhere on the menu it said GF if it was a gluten free dish.Kid-friendliness: They have a high chair for a small child, if that can be considered child friendly then yes :)“
“This is the best Indian food I have had in Halifax. I had the butter chicken and it was spicy and so packed with flavour (seriously the best), and the chana masala that was divine. I will be ordering again ans again to try many different dishes.“
“Maybe the best Indian food I’ve had in HRM. Huge portions for a reasonable price and it all tastes homemade with a proper amount of spice (hard to find sometimes).I ordered via Uber so I’m sure it’s even better fresh from the kitchen!“
