“Fantastic Indian restaurant in Downtown Halifax, known for its affordable prices and mouthwatering dishes. The diverse menu ensures there's always something new to try, making it my go-to place for a delightful culinary experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff add to the overall charm. Looking forward to creating more memorable moments with friends and family at this hidden gem!“
“Went there for the first time. The place was so nice and clean. I was impressed the way the whole restaurant was maintained. I was hosted by kirti, and she also recommended me chicken appetizer, which was very amazing.Iwanted to try the seafood soup, but it was not there, maybe next time. My favorite thing about the restaurant was that I was sitting near the kitchen but still there was no noise coming out from there which was impressive . Would like to come there again only if they add masala tea or filter coffee in their menu. Anyone who is in area should go there.“
“Really nice Indian restaurant . Store it self is small but when it comes to food , they did really a great job . When you compare this place with Indian tea in GTA(Ontario) , this restaurant is gonna win. Food is up to standard, the service was great . If you are Halifax, specially this area , must try this place . You will love it .Thank you guys for amazing food and experience.“
“Best authentic Indian food in Halifax! Got takeout and the butter chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh are amazing. The meat was so tender, and the flavour of the curries were incredible (the mild was definitely quite spicy so I would stick to that heat level!) Will be back!“
“We have long been loyal customers of Tawa. It is, by far, the best Indian food in Halifax. Recently we hosted a dinner party with dinner provided by Tawa. The service was wonderful and friendly, and the food was delicious. It is remarkable value.“
“Absolutely love getting a hearty brunch from Amin's! Everything on their menu is flavourful and mouth-wateringly delicious. And it's great that they offer frozen tubs of some of their dishes for a middle of the week dinner treat!Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian options for some of their curries.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten-free and vegan options.“
“I recently had dinner at this Indian restaurant and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive the ambiance was warm and inviting and the food was absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the flavorful spices and the tender meat in each dish. I will definitely be back!“
“I recently dined at famous curry Garden and enjoyed a delightful experience. The new Indo Chinese additions were a hit, with dishes like Bombay BHEL and Manchurian Fried Rice impressing us with their flavorful fusion. The Papdi aloo Chat retained its amazing taste, although the chutney had a new twist. The only disappointment was the Bombay Style Pav Bhaji, which fell a bit flat in comparison. The service was excellent, and despite a minor miss, famous Curry Garden remains a place to explore inventive flavors.“
“Best Restaurant in town !!!!! We had our Team dinner and booked the hall and food with Bombay Bistro, they really took care of everything. The Ambience was very beautiful. The food was Hot and very fresh. The food was very authentic and we loved the taste very much. The service was excellent. The desserts were made fresh and brought straight out of kitchen. In Specific their Aloo Tikki was out of the world. The whole team is Very Professional. Keep up the Great work Guys.“
“For lunch we went to Potikkis located on Pizza Corner and omg, their Chana masala fries, Chana masala rice bowl and apple fries were so delicious!!! Fast, fresh and full of flavour, Canadian comfort food with an Indian twist which is truly a perfect combo in my eyes. Options are clearly marked on the menu and the staff is just the SWEETEST! Thank you so much for the great service and scrumptious food!Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??Vegetarian options: Offers Chana masala fries or rice bowl and the apple fries without caramel sauce for vegan. Options are marked clearly on menu.“
“A very cozy restaurant, exactly what I wanted to visit. Courteous and nice service. Delicious food, although it was too spicy, despite the fact that we asked for as little spices as possible, but it is clear that this is still Indian cuisine, and it is primarily about spices. So if you don't like spicy, this might not be for you, but overall, it was very tasty. Desserts, as in the Indian tradition, were sweet and tasty. Clean, tidy. No bright lights and loud music. I believe that this place is definitely suitable for a romantic date and for friendly gatherings. But it should be taken into account that the restaurant is in the center of the city and there will be a problem with car parking. We parked a little further away and had to walk a little, but it didn't spoil our mood and overall impression. We ordered three different main dishes and three different desserts - everything turned out to be equally delicious. For example, the naan was clearly prepared in the restaurant and was very tasty. I recommendDietary restrictions: It was important to us that there was no gluten in the food. Everywhere on the menu it said GF if it was a gluten free dish.Kid-friendliness: They have a high chair for a small child, if that can be considered child friendly then yes :)“
“This is the best Indian food I have had in Halifax. I had the butter chicken and it was spicy and so packed with flavour (seriously the best), and the chana masala that was divine. I will be ordering again ans again to try many different dishes.“
