“This is a more upscale restaurant and reservations are encouraged. First off the service was impeccable and the ambiance quite nice, including the dishware. As for the food: we were 4 people and 3/4 had amazing meals. They were accommodating of all our dietary restrictions, both celiac and allergies. One of us ordered the steak which came out cold but they immediately replaced it. Even the second time the steak wasn't quite the cuisson ordered but at least it was warm. The appetizers were all fantastic so were the desserts. If it weren't for the one main. This place would have gotten a perfect score. I would give it 4.5 if I could award half points.“

“My husband and I came for dinner this evening. We barely ever go out anymore. We didn't have a reservation but we were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Our server Janine was so friendly and accommodating. She was brilliant. She knew the wine selection down to the vintage of the bottles. She also knew where all the products sold were sourced. The approachable knowledge she displayed allowed us to make the best choice for our meal. The haddock is truly long line practiced and remains fresh. The chef clearly poured their heart and soul into the flavour and presentation. We were beyond impressed with the whole experience. Thank you so much. We will be back for sure.“

“We went for an anniversary dinner and it was spectacular. We ordered the scallops and pork belly appetizers and they were both amazing. The scallops were cooked to absolute perfection and the pork belly was so tender and flavourful with a pear sauce that is unmatched. For our mains we ordered the tuna and the short rib and they were both over the top. This restaurant offers fine dinning without a pretentious atmosphere. Very comfortable little restaurant and some of the best food I’ve ever had! All in (before tip) and after tax our dinner cost $130CA including two drinks, two appetizers and two entrees. Will definitely be back!!“

“As brief visitors to Halifax, we went with recommendations from our conference organizers and boy are we glad that we did. Drift was amazing, from the fantastic and next level servers to the wine, and then finally to the seafood tower. The oysters on half shell, the mussels, the lobster and crab salad, the scallops ceviche and everything else included was just what we were looking for. What a great experience, and one we could not leave Halifax without having. We won't forget this dinner for a long time.“
