Pho Maxim Thai Restaurant Reviews
I think my only complaint here would be that I find the AC too strong and it can get cold. But then I've also found that of most places in Clayton Park. As for the food, honestly this might be the best pho place in town. At least for a vegetarian, not sure if the same could be said of meat dishes (actually, for the benefit of the meat eaters it's probably far from it). My girlfriend and I had been a few times and the meals are inexpensive, and we've always left satisfied.
So very happy Halifax is finally opening authentic Pho restaurants. The misleading and tasteless soups that are on offer in downtown Halifax are awful. The broth is delicious and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend if you want a taste of Vietnam!
Got the spicy beef pho, the place is sombre and quite. The amount of beef given and the sides is very little and when asked for a lemon got tiniest dry lemon. Overall the flavours are there and the house made hot sauce is delicious.
