It was an amazing experience and the food was outstanding. The chefs and kitchen staff are true artists. Also, our waitress was absolutely amazing. They were very kind and took the time to interact with us. Will be booking many reservations in the future.

We just (almost) finished their Mother’s Day special box. Every bite was amazing, such a nice combination of savoury and sweet. It was a beautiful presentation - photos were taken to preserve this event! We highly recommend this!

I went in March when they had the special set meals. While the main course food was okay, the real highlight were the drinks and dessert. I would 100000% go back for those! Unique and delicious cocktails and an incredible dessert. I didn’t think I would’ve chosen this from the menu, but it came with the set and I was thrilled.I’d probably go back just for drinks and desserts, but maybe not a full meal.Staff was also very friendly, and the teppanyaki chef was very talented and entertaining.

The worst experience ever. It was our 25th anniversary on the day of their grand opening, I booked this place a week in advance to make sure all goes well and surprise my wife. We waited for 100 minutes for our food, after I complained to our waitress, she offered me free drink. It was 9:45 pm. She said we need to wait for another 30 minutes, so we discied for their free drink and leave this place. Considering everywhere closed, they totally ruined our anniversary.

The service is perfect ,but the food is unbelievably less,I can understand wagyu beef is expensive, but menu say for 2 people, those food look like for 1 person.Sukiyaki's broth is Tempura sauce ,and steam rice used last night. I came because of an advertisement, but I think I was cheated.4/21 I won't go back try again, the problem isn't only broth, did you see your advertisement's pic? When I saw the vegetables only half of what I saw in the pic , why the rice wasn't fresh?

We had a great dinning experience last night at Saké. I enjoyed a 9 Tails cocktail, the Sukiyaki menu, followed by two desserts; Karma and The Forbidden Cherry ?. The plating was imaginative, built for sharing and tasted great. Using the hot pot to cook was an interesting and fun experience. We will be back. Hoping to try the Teppanyaki soon as well. Cheers and yum to Saké.

Great service and food. Love the decor, it's very spacious too if you consider the restaurant is located in downtown Halifax.

Wonderful time!Booked a dinner with 7 friends and they graciously accommodated us in the private room so we could be a bit louder. The Peking duck was delicious as was the pork belly. The serving staff was great (especially that Danielle (?) girl)! We will be coming back in the future!

Wow, what a wonderful experience we had at Sake! My friend and I arrived at 6;30 to such an impressive venue. Everything is so thoughtfully designed and the servers and bartenders greeted us with kindness. We walked up under the cherry blossom tree which was beautiful and sat in the booth section because we were going to do the Hot Pot options. Neither of us had tried Hot Pot before so our server explained everything step by step and introduced us to all of the ingredients. We did the $60 hot pot for 2 which in my opinion was such a good deal especially considering the amount of food you get. Even if you think you don't have room for dessert... just order anything because you will be wowed. We had the Karma dessert which is a chocolate mousse and it basically was a piece of art. Great service. Great food. Great ambiance. Can't wait to return.

We visited for the first time today and we were wowed! From the service, the quality and creativity of the meals, the details of the cocktails and an astoundingly beautiful dessert, I can promise that we will be back. Kelly knew the menu in and out and was able to make the perfect recommendations. Don’t hesitate, just try it out. Thanks Kelly! We’ll be back.

Second time here and it was great!! We got the Hot Pot and there was more than enough food for two. Loved it because the broth was different from the last time I was there! Great spot for any occasion.

We did not have the experience of the people who last reviewed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely helpful. We had 3 cocktails a piece and they were WONDERFUL, "the first empress" and "the bless of diwata" were our favorites. We had the noodles and octopus to start which were both flavored extremely well and arrived hot and tasty We had the hot pot (which my husband assured me was very good, although it's not a meal I often get to offer comparison). The DESSERTS though! These were truly works of art, their pastry chef had obviously spent a lot of time and energy on these and they were FABULOUSLY worthwhile. The balance of sweet, savory and sour was spot on! Amazing! Please do yourself a favor and try this place!

I enjoyed the Emperor's Teppanyaki and I have to say that I have never spent so much on a meal as I did that night-it was so worth it. The chef was entertaining, funny and talented! We enjoyed shrimps, scallops, salmon, chicken, filet mignon and a lobster along with a salad, fried rice, sake and an apple based desert. It was such an enjoyable evening and recommend anyone thinking about it to just do it.
