Salvatore's Pizzaiolo Trattoria

I honestly don’t understand why this place is so highly rated. I’ve been here 2–3 times, and each visit just confirmed how overrated it is. Their Quattro Formaggio pizza was especially disappointing - despite being a 4 cheese pizza, all you can taste is ricotta. You can’t notice any of the other cheeses at all. Definitely something to avoid.

The other pizzas were also just average at best. There are much better pizza spots in the city, so there’s really no reason to come here. Overall, it doesn’t live up to the hype and isn’t worth the price.

This was one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

The staff accommodated my request to serve half a meatball hero and box the second serving.

Half of the sandwich was more than enough for a quick lunch.

The service is great, the restaurant is interesting, and the food is awesome.

I lived in Halifax, and ate Salvadors Pizza often. Visiting for two days, it was my first choice last evening. It has definitely changed. The three item rule, where U cannot pay extra to add more toppings, is simply bizarre...in all of Canada, never heard of this restrictionon a paying customer. The flavor, and overall taste, amount of ingredients has went downhill immensely.
I will never choose this pizza 🍕 again.

This is hands down the best pizza you can find in Halifax. Hot, crispy, and delicious, always leaves you wanting more. The lounge is a little loud, but still worth it to get the pizza straight out of the oven.

I always loved this spot, too bad the service is now awful... we were told to wait when it is half empty, can't even sit down and have to wait outside? Then the wait is way longer than promised. Sorry it isn't THAT good, lots of other places to eat in this city. Probably won't go back.

Absolutely the WORST service I’ve had at a restaurant in years!! Eight of us for lunch - sat for 30 minutes before we even ordered. Two men came in 45 minutes later and got their pizza, ate and left and we were still sitting waiting. A few of us received their salads and two hours later we FINALLY got our pizza after they burnt the first ones. The biggest issue - no apology - no sorry we really feel bad you had to wait so long! Nothing!! And this is always the first restaurant I go to when I arrive from Ontario and have always advised friends that are vacationing in Halifax to go to Salvatore’s! Not anymore!! Sad their service has gone so down hill.
