The service was very good. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The meal flavors were great. We were seated nicely in a corner with the four of us. We could have a conversation without shouting.

Been to Mercantile Social many times and as always this visit lived up to my expectations. We did notice a difference from our past visits that the restaurant was brighter and music was lower. Miss the darker ambience and music that was once played. Food was spectacular, especially the crab dip and salmon entree. I'd highly recommend these two dishes!! Still one of my favourite restaurants in Canada!!!

Services was great, food could use more flavour as we found the scallops and halibut to be dry and not much flavour at all. They both could use a sauce on them. Birria tacos were very tasty, a must try. Overall we had a good time, atmosphere was nice

Our server was excellent. One of us had a duck breast with potatoes and brussel sprouts and the other had the Seafood trio. Both were perfectly prepared.

Our server Stephen was amazing!! This was my first time here and I took my friends out to celebrate my birthday and all I can say the experience was so so good! Everything from the ambiance to the food and to the service especially was 10/10!! I can't wait to come back!!

The food was spectacular. Whoever is running the kitchen is doing a great job. We went for the first time last night and unfortunately, the service was lacking. Our server forgot about us. After our food was brought, we did let her know that we had about 20 minutes before we needed to leave so if she could please bring us the check We need to be able to leave in time to get to a play. She brought us the check and asked us if we wanted to her to bring over the thing so we could pay right away as she had a party of 15 that she would be taking orders from shortly. We told her yes, she said she would be right back. The next thing I know I see her over at the table for 15 completely having forgot about us. Had to bring my check to the bar to pay. Only tipped her 20% out of it being the holidays, But to be honest with you, do not think that she deserved it as she clearly was prioritizing the larger table over us despite telling us she would get us closed out first.

Absolutely delicious!! had the baked brie, birria tacos, and charred brussels - holy moly they were all so good! Spectacular happy hour with lots of choices for everyone. Great service, and just a gorgeous place to hang out with friends or a group, or a great date night - love this place!!

My experience at Merchantile Social was phenomenal. My server Beverly went above and beyond. I was on a date night with my boyfriend after spending 2 weeks at my moms bedside after a liver transplant. The night was so special and she spoiled us. I will be back. She deserves all the recognition. Our food was delicious. The vibes were immaculate. Thanks again to the restaurant and Beverly.

Worst place to eat because the service is terrible. Came here on a Tuesday with reservation wasn’t sat for a good 15 minutes and no it was only like 3 guests in the restaurant ordered the steak and fries better off going up the street to The Keg for a way better tasting steak also we brought our own birthday cake and they offered to cut it up for us after we sang and the cake was like a heart shaped serving at least 20 ppl big pieces with leftovers and they brought a small piece on the plates and ate the rest in the back what kind of place does that manager said we should have specified we didn’t want the birthday cake eaten.

To be honest, the ambiance of this place is really nice with a cool vibe. The service was excellent however the food was very dissapointing. Everyone's food was just bland. The cost of the food and serving size did not make sense. If you're looking for a nice place to just hang out with friends and have drinks then I'll recommend but for an actual dining experience, don't waste your time.
