“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

“I always loved Montana’s in Ottawa but never tried it in Halifax. I came in for my first time with my girlfriend and a buddy in Halifax and was pleasantly surprised. Same great vibe and fun atmosphere of Montana’s and a table to scribble on. Sophie served us and was so kind and helpful! She described the menu well and suggested some great options. The food came quick and was hot and delicious. Great experience and great service. Highly recommend!“

Server masterfully struck the balance between checking in on us and letting us enjoy our food very well, and was supremely friendly.

I liked the QR code payment system they put in place. Very good for people with social anxieties.

Seating and table space per person was ample and they had a decent variety of chairs, booths, and hybrid seating options.

Large portions, and priced about the same as other places around the area for breakfast food.

“No hostess at the front to greet people walking in, waited 10 minutes and still nothing, server walked by us looking clueless and did not bother to help, called the restaurant from inside the restaurant, still no answer, then finally 2 hostesses came at once and we were finally seated at our table. Very poor start to dinner but the rest was flawless: food, service, atmosphere and value. We almost left, but glad we didn't. Way to recover, that was a close one!“

I have not had one bad experience in what must be close to 100 visits over the many years. Incredibly friendly staff, phenomenal food, and a perfectly relaxed atmosphere.

“I dropped by Sheng's Chinese Restaurant, and order a suggested combo... I ordered the General Tao chicken combo, got back to the hotel and it was delicious not just good. I am used to over deep-fried chicken, their was lightly deep fried and juicy. It may have been the best chicken I've had, oh yes the fried rice and egg roll were also delicious as well. 5 out out 5!“

“My first visit to the main restaurant in a fair old while, having been frequenting their offshoot in Bedford recently when the curry craving hits. It's larger than it was first time I visited, but still in the little strip mall off Chain Lake Drive. There are two rooms either side of the entrance, both cool, subtly lit and cozy. It was just after they opened on a summer's Thursday morning, so I was the first customer and quickly ordered the meat thali. This comes in six segments. Two meat curries which change from time to time (today it was beef and chicken). A very nice dhal, a good portion of rice, chickpea salad and a quartered plain naan. All very tasty and overall quite a sizeable portion. I was on the ravenous side of peckish when I arrived and left thoroughly stuffed, so you definitely get your value for the $23 with tip. It's not licensed, but has a nice line in cold drinks should you so desire. It's no surprise this place is consistently voted No.1 curry house in Halifax, though it has a lot more competition than it did when it first opened. Thoroughly recommended.“
