We always absolutely love going to the Dixie Lee Family Restaurant in Liverpool, NS! My husband is originally from Bathurst, NB and Dixie Lee's are quite common and plentiful near that way, but he was so excited when we discovered the location in Liverpool (the only one in NS I think). Every time we go to Liverpool, we have to stop. And sometimes, we make the trip just for that!
I’ve seen Dixie Lee advertised for many years, I finally got there; I use to go to these all the time back in the 70’s and 80’s. My first impression was a little pricey, but then I got my order (a chicken and a scallop diner) wow great tasting full meaty pieces of chicken lightly battered (way better than KFC or Mary Browns little bitty pieces) with dipping sauce and large pieces of scallops.
