“Sissiboo Coffee Roaster was featured a couple years ago at a local coffee shop (I live in Ottawa) and their coffee was so good that every year I order several bags to give as Christmas gifts to my family and some for my partner and I. The Fundy Storm, Night Owl and Fireman Breakfast are our favourites (we love dark roasts) and my mother loves the Glacial Erratic.”

“This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. We were in the area for a week and ate here 3 times. Every meal was delicious and the portions were substantial and filling. We especially liked the Steak and Eggs Benedict; spectacular! The burgers will spoil you for all other burgers! The Turtle Brownie and Carrot Cheesecake will make you consider moving to Bear River. Paula will be single-handedly juggling all 9 (or 10?) tables with a smile and her warm-hearted and genial disposition. If you wait a little longer for your meal, rest assured it’s worth it. Enjoy the ambiance and an excuse to stop and appreciate a wonderful dining experience.”

“My husband and I enjoyed a meal at Sunset Pub in July 2024. The onion rings were the best we've ever had. The batter was light, and they were perfectly cooked. The fish was crispy, flavourful, and moist. The poutine was first of all made from what tasted like home made fries, the gravy was delicious, and it was loaded with curds. The service was excellent. I recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great meal with large portions, and friendly service.”

“Love love love the chowder and the scallops are also outstanding! Drove 45 minutes to have a birthday lunch and realized I had forgotten my phone, so no vaccine certificate. No proof of vaccine- no inside dining. Period!! No problem. We totally support them in this appreciate their vigilance! We took our order to go and had our amazing chowder when we got home! They also have another restaurant in Parker's Cove that we love to go and the food is every bit as good there as well. Thanks Crow's Nest. You guys rock!!”

“Chowder was fantastic but the salmon was too cooked and tasteless. Scallops were great, but too small portion. Bread was cold. Super clean, amazing gardens outside and great building. Except for those small details, great restaurant.

“Good service. Good food. We were whalewatching, and stopped on way home. When I got home on the south shore, I realized I had left my handknit wool cardigan from Ireland, favorite sweater, on back of a chair. Phoned Crystal, the manager. She had the sweater! She offered to send it to me free of charge! I could hardly believe my ears. She even left a message when it was sent. It has arrived safe and sound. Talk about going above and beyond duty. I am so grateful for such a kind and caring gesture!!”

“Stopped at the McDonald's in Digby along the highway for a quick breakfast on our way to whale watching, and it was a good experience.

The location is convenient, making it an easy stop on a road trip.

The service was good, we got our order quickly so we could get back on the road.

Overall, it was a satisfying stop to fuel up before our adventure especially when you have a very limited options in the area.

“As a person with coeliac its hard to find places to eat at. Majority of them don't have the understanding and always cross contamination. For the first time I was able to eat with no issues order off of the gluten-free menu on line. They took the time and effort to make every precautions. My husband was happy because we can now add one of his treat spots!”
