“Today, my partner and I proceeded to sit down and eat breakfast at our most cherished restaurant... The GREAT British Grub. I decided to take a chance on the Spinach & feta quiche... and let me tell you... what an incredible surprise! So... so delicious. I almost ate the plate!! But... that's not where it ends... the strawberry lemonade I'd also decided to take a chance on... hit me like the euphoria described by the Beatles in "Strawberry Fields Forever"... and I'm still not done! oh no! ...I THEN ordered the Pina Colada Cake... and did the bells from angels above ever start to chime... when the first piece hit my tongue... soft, light... like heaven... with a rich creamy icing, like nothing I have ever tasted before... chunks of my favorite fruit... pineapple... juicy and overall I am speechless, yet I was called by something deep within... perhaps the Cake Gods... to write this review so YOU may also delve into a similar experience which is nothing short of divine. The service is always wonderful, the environment comfortable and the food delightful. Best restaurant around. Thanks GBG - you never fail!”

“Just had breakfast with a friend at the Calgary Pur& Simple - Jas was looking after us. Second time there, she looked after us wonderfully both times. Pur& Simple is a gem of a food find. Fantastic food, incredible smoothies, cherry staff, and a nice, bright place. We will be back!”

“We have a lovely date night out here tonight. The food was perfect! Absolutely delicious. The service was excellent too. The chicken skewers are a great appy with the spring rolls too. We sampled the ginger beef dish and a noodle dish....the flavors are incredible.

“The doughnuts today were delicious! BUT, I would avoid the café at all costs on a warm day. There was no AC. The timeframe it took to order and get our food left us in literal puddles it was so hot. The baristas were obviously sweating and uncomfortable in their workplace. It was a shame when the atmosphere is otherwise inviting.”

“I love all the options for healthy food that they carry. Anyone who thinks eating healthy has to be boring or taste bad needs to shop at the Simply for Life market, the variety of food is awesome. Plus the staff are always friendly and helpful and offer great suggestions and advice.”

“This place has some of the best workers. My google pay malfunctioned and I had left before ether of us figured out and they called so we could work out me coming back to pay. And when I lost my wallet they showed me the camera recording to help me find it. (My dumb ass just dropped it outside) love these people, love the food, always made fast. 10/10”

“New ownership in 2023. Did takeout twice. The fried wonton are old school - not wonton skins with a s&s dip. Exquisite. The Cantonese S&S Pork is definitely worth a try, too.”

“Very good food, fresh, good variety of ingredients and sauces. Good price as well. Pita, bowls, sides options are also good for kids, smoothies, etc. The 3 staff that were there today at lunch were all very nice and patient. We were there with a toddler and a baby and the staff recommended good options for the kids (we didn't want sauces that were spicy) and they were very kind to us. The place was clean, the bathrooms were cleaned as well. We definitely recommended going there. Thank you!”

“After recently moving to the area we tried Belly Up for the first time today. To say it was good would be an understatement. The house smoked pulled pork sandwich was delicious! Hubby got the smokehouse smash burger which was also good. Good size portions, efficient service and reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!”

“I've been ordering the Damascus Supreme and burgers from the original and current location for over 40 years. When I'm in the mood for a pizza, I don't really consider any other vendor. Note that this is primarily a pickup / delivery operation.”

“Food is always fresh and now this is actually true right down to deli prep!! I had an excellent chicken sub, custom made with all the veggies! The atmosphere got a lower rating simply because I've been looking at the same subway design in every store for many many years. Time to get away from the Browns and beiges and come into the times just like your food has! You Excel in customer service and sandwich artistry!”

“We picked up take out lastnight, after spending 70 dollars we had hoped we would have had a decent meal. Truly disappointing, the worst meal we've had in 10 years as customers. There was maybe half a cup of pasta in our 25 dollar dish, we also paid for extra chicken, a 7 dollar charge. There was approximately 1 TBSP of chicken total. Unfortunately we will never be back. If we didn't live 45 mins away I would have quickly returned this meal. Please save your money and find somewhere else to spend your money.”

“Initially, we had several issues with the drive tru's orders and it was always a frustrating experience having to go back in and wait again to have it corrected.
That being said, the staff has always been apologetic, very friendly and kind.
As of late, my orders are always perfect, no complaints.
For the people saying the staff is rude, perhaps it works both ways?
Some are offended they speak another language between themselves...so what?
If it makes the communication easier for a quicker service, who cares?
Finally, the gentleman at the drive tru window is a sweetheart!
It's certainly one of the best Tim's I know.”
