Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards Winery • $$$
11143 Evangeline Trail, Wolfville

“Sommelier approved, a true gem of the Annapolis Valley! Their certified biodynamic and organic viticulture translates to clean, beautiful, delicious terroir driven wines that represent the emerging (and exciting!) Nova Scotia wine region in an honest and sustainable way. (Especially their traditional method bubbly!)The staff are passionate, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about their specialty wines. Their new menu is EXCELLENT; well priced with high quality farm-to-table ingredients. Food portions are perfect. Not wasteful, nor gouging their guests. Five star review. A must stop if you're visiting the Wolfville area!“

Vine Side Patio Wineries •
2239 White Rock Rd, Wolfville

“Before we moved to the Valley, we skipped this place because the place didn't look like anything special and we decided to make time for bigger more 'popular' spots nearby. I'm so glad we decided to give this winery a try because it's our absolute favourite local wine! Not as huge of a setting as some of the others in the area, it's a more laid back feel with really great staff. Their reds are bold and dark and perfect for sitting on the shore watching the sunset (or sunrise if you've been up all night!). The place isn't huge but it does get busy with bus/wine tours so be mindful of that. Sitting on the patio is great because it's covered so even a maritime rain doesn't stop you from sitting outside. We didn't have a chance to try the food as they were in the process of hiring kitchen staff after pandemic closures but judging by their friendly staff and accessible location, we're sure to try it when we're back in a few weeks.“

Mercator Vineyards Winery • $$
88 Dyke Rd, Wolfville

“I have done a couple winery tours in Wolfville but this was the first time visiting Mercator Vineyards. The building is beautiful and very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. They have a beautiful area upstairs for larger groups. The only downfall was the amount of each pour at the tasting. The amount of wine given for each wine tasting was SO much less than every other winery we visited, it definitely wasn’t an ounce. It appeared to be more like 1/4 an ounce. It was so obvious that a number of people in our tour made a comment about it. I’m not sure if the staff member was just a new employee, as he had mentioned he was a student at a university in the area? I’m not sure.. but other than that, it was a great visit!! Shoutout to the staff member from Newfoundland.. you’re awesome!!“

Luckett Vineyards Wineries • $$
1293 Grand Pré Rd, Wolfville

“Today, while on a wine tour with my coworkers, I arrived at Luckett ready to solve a long-standing personal mystery: what happened to Fizz!?I met Jeremy at the bar who informed me that due to the polar vortex earlier this year, the crop of grapes used to make Fizz was lost.I explained to Jeremy that Fizz was a huge favourite of my parter and I, and that I was really hoping to find a bottle today. He then told me he had one solitary bottle remaining in his office and that he would be happy to sell it to me.Now I have a beautiful bottle of Fizz to share with my beloved, and I have an incredibly fond memory of a beautiful man named Jeremy, who went above and beyond to make sure I left happy.Thank you so much, and I can’t wait to visit this beautiful vineyard again!“

Planters Ridge Winery Winery • $$
1441 Church St, Port Williams - 3.01 miles

“Stopped at this beautiful winery after a trip to Blomindon Provincial Park. A beautiful old bar reconfigured to a winery with a great patio outside as well as seats inside. We each had a glass of wine … I tried and thoroughly enjoyed the L’Acadie. In fact I purchased a case to take home. Although we didn’t have anything to eat, their menu looked great.“
