Hey, we finally found this diner open so we stopped and had breakfast. It was very good and inside it decorated with Hollywood memorabilia with someone really liking Marilyn Monroe, can't blame them.
We had breakfast. The coffee was good and the food was good. The server was pleasant and attentive. Now, the somewhat different things. The food was served on paper plates. It's CASH ONLY. And the bathrooms are outside on the side - think converted old gas station! I would eat there again, though. I had scrambled eggs with diced ham and my spouse had Denver omelet.

perfect place for breakfast before heading to hike all day at death valley. mel's opens at 6AM so we were able to watch the sunrise and eat. perfect for grabbing breakfast and arriving to the park around 8AM. CASH ONLY . sack sandwich lunches are also available to order, easy lunch to bring on our death valley hike !!!
