“Wow—what a YUMMY sushi spot! Everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband has had sushi in Japan and usually says nothing can compare… but Sumi came so close! The quality was outstanding, and the staff made the whole experience even better. I wish I took pictures of the food but it was beautifully presented as well. A special shoutout to Skylar—he went above and beyond to make sure our date was perfect. You’ve got a true gem of an employee there! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful day out together. “Fast service, fresh fish. Quick for lunch! I wish they had a little more diversity on the menu, but what they had was very good. Good rice to fish ratio. I had the mussels which were awesome, they were cooked perfectly. I also had spicy tuna hand rolls, a few yellowtail nigiri, a few Mickey Mouse nigiri and the volcano roll. Very good all around and will be back next time I'm in the area for lunch!“

“Hay, for a sushi bar with and active pizza oven (also used for mussels and eel ), open to a casino floor with smoking and a sake list served by an Italian restaurant.... it is pretty darn good. Fresh and creative sushi. Great cutters. All u can eat could be death by sushi. Went two times on one trip.“

“I have eaten here at LEAST 15 times since we moved to Tahoe last year! I have tried a lot of sushi places, and this is hands-down the best sushi I've ever had. Not once have I been disappointed by the food here! AYCE is the only way I eat sushi, and it's such a great price here! The salmon is always buttery and amazing. There's plenty of sushi up in Tahoe, but I always drive down to Carson for this place because it's just the best. If I ever move out of the area, I'm genuinely going to be sad to leave Tomo behind.“

“Very yummy sushi! Service was excellent! We went the first time June 7th for lunch. The food was fresh and good. I've had to change my rating because...
The second time was for dinner July 11. The Chrystal shrimp was old and reheated and the peppered tuna was old and overcooked. We will try them one one more time for lunch but no more dinners.“
