“This is one unassuming place! In a strip mall, you walk in the door and it's instantly a calm, welcoming environment...even with the music! Every single interaction, the staff was awesome, polite, friendly; like the old days of customer service!

The Baguette Cafe, as far as we're concerned, is the best for quality, taste, service, and ambience (as cafes go). Although it's out of the way and hard to find, it's well worth the effort to find this lovely little cafe tucked away just off Sunset and the 215 freeway. “Continuing our epic quest for the ultimate breakfast spot, we stumbled upon the Egg Works. And let me tell you, this place has now claimed the top spot on my breakfast leaderboard! 🥇

I went with my trusty favorite: chicken fried steak and eggs. My son opted for the classic biscuits and gravy. Both dishes arrived PIPING hot. Not just warm, not just hot—PIPING hot. A rare feat these days! The eggs were cooked to perfection, the chicken fried steak was just the right size and cooked to a crispy golden brown, and the gravy was seasoned just right. The breakfast potatoes were a delightful surprise—diced and generously seasoned, not your run-of-the-mill hash browns.

Service was on point, with our coffee cups never empty thanks to a pot left on the table. Prices were reasonable and in line with other breakfast joints. We arrived on a bustling Saturday morning around 9:00. The place was hopping, but there were plenty of servers, and we didn't have to wait for a table. By the time we left, though, there was a waitlist.

One pro tip: avoid the last table facing the glass door unless you want the sun to give you an unsolicited wake-up call. 🌞

“Breakfast today was awesome. I was seated promptly after entering by a smiling host named Seth. My server Paco came over and introduced himself and took my drink and food order right away. My food came out quickly and hot. Paco checked on me a few times and had a genuine conversation with me. Even though I done by myself he didn't ignore me like many servers do when they have bigger parties figuring a single female isn't going to be as good of a tip as a bigger party. “The Egg Shop 3961 Las Vegas Blvd S., Las Vegas, NV 89119 5 Stars For my second venture into Las Vegas eats, I stopped by what I am sure is a local favorite, The Egg Shop on the Strip. Located across from the Mandalay Bay Hotel Casino, one will find this gem of a dive. Alan is the owner and he mans the counter professionally and engagingly, answering all questions (and I ask a lot) with a smile on his face and in his voice. After my second culinary journey in the restaurant jungle of Las Vegas, I am absolutely convinced that Brevard County, FL, has pitiful food. It's a race to the bottom on the Space Coast, because if a hole-in-the-wall joint such as this can execute high-quality chow like this, the Big Boy's future is bright. I asked Alan for a Steak and Egg sandwich, one order of his Flour Tower (a short stack of Johnny cakes), and a Strawberry Lemonade Cheesecake. As my meal was being prepared, I relaxed and took in the sights of The Strip. Las Vegas is the best place to people-watch this side of the Mississippi. You can tell the locals from the tourists from the hucksters with a glance. Being daytime, the place wasn't busy, and my order was up in a flash. After the requisite pictures, I enthusiastically got to work because look at those pictures! First up on the discerning Big Boy's palate was the Steak and Egg sandwich. This was gigantic, cooked to perfection and the chimichurri mayo gave it a unique, exotic and excellent flavor. Wow. It was all I could do to move on to the next item. Before I get into how they tasted, take a second and look at that picture of Alan's Flour Tower again. Have you ever seen such a perfect representation of a pancake? I would wager you haven't, and as I am in Las Vegas, I am sure we can find an odds maker for that! Now, back to the task at hand. If a picture is worth 1000 words, you can surmise how delightful those pancakes were. WTF? I would expect pancakes of this caliber in a 5-star hotel on the French Riviera, not in a diner on the Las Vegas Strip. Alan is undoubtedly a man who takes great pride in his offerings to the public and has a genuine love of serving the public. Outstanding, my man! Just when I thought I hit the jackpot, I placed a forkful of the Strawberry Lemonade Cheesecake in my aptly named pie-hole. O. M. G. This would be illegal in Brevard; it's that good. Words do not do it justice. It was sublime in flavor, perfect in texture and downright divine on the palate. The Big Boy says, “Visiting or residing, this is a MUST for all.”“

“I have been to the other Crack Egg up on Ann and 95 freeway. This location (Cheyenne and Buffalo) is in my opinion 100% better. The food, the service is excellent, especially the service (from the hostess, to the waitress, the best boy, and the cashier). The atmosphere is extremely clean and they're very timely and courteous with everything. I have absolutely no negative words for this location. *There was a small allocation over the rewards card at the location at Ann and the 95 freeway years ago from the manager. That really turned me off. I have never been back.
