I ordered the Hainan chicken rice with dark meat, and it was great at an affordable price. The wonton noodles with roast duck were alright, in my opinion. So far, the customer service has been great and friendly. They’ve only been open for about seven months, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes with my family!
Two reviews said not to order the salt and pepper soft shell crab because the batter and seasoning weren’t good — but they obviously fixed it within the past four months because I had it last night and I’m having cravings for more of it.

Gourmet Asian 888 is a restaurant that has been open for about seven months. The customer service is great and friendly. The dining area is large, decorated very nicely, and quite comfortable. The owner is welcoming, pleasant, and attentive, and the staff is lovely. Prices are affordable and reasonable.
The Hainan chicken rice with dark meat is great. The salt and pepper soft shell crab has a light crispy batter and good s&p seasoning. The won ton soup has the best won tons in many years in a Vegas restaurant. The Malaysian sweet and sour spare ribs are delish with a fun presentation. The roast duck is awesome, perfectly seasoned, and juicy. The BBQ rice plate with roast duck and honey BBQ pork is delicious. The Singaporean chicken, Singaporean style noodles, Singaporean noodles, HK crispy noodles with chicken, Malaysian 3 treasures, Malaysian Ho fun, combo fried rice, and char kway teow are also well made. The wonton noodles with roast duck are alright. The food is as good as any Malaysian or Chinese food in NYC or SF. This place should be supported.
