“What’s better than ice cream to cool yourself off? Well sure a sundae might sound nice. But Paleta Bar is exquisite. However I’m not trying to be biased.. specially since being Latino we grow up eating this for our own. However Paleta Bar takes it a step further. With adding toppings to your Paleta or even choosing a nice milkshake with Latin flavors and or yes even a nice spiced up Latin sundae. This place during a Hot Summer day will cool yourself palette. So yes go ahead live a little. Add some chamoy to the mango one or go for a taro Paleta ; my favorite choice. But if you feeling adventurous.. there is always other options and flavors to chose from. Wether you just want a nice vanilla treat.. during the times I’m out and about.. and the hot summer of Vegas kicks my hunger for a cold snack to get that brain freeze .. I’ll end up to Paleta Bar if I’m up for the drive..

“I ordered the milk black tea with boba and the popcorn chicken last night. Such a great choice!! The popcorn chicken was fresh and hot, they gave you a side of chili powder for those who would like to add it. The milk tea was excellent too and you can tell the boba was soft and easy to chew.“

“Catch U Arcade and Boba is a hidden gem in Vegas. The Yogurt x Purple Rice drink is a total sleeper hit way better than traditional boba. I grew up in Vegas and now spend most of the year in Hong Kong and parts of China, and this spot is easily top tier. The flavors are legit, and the vibe is fun and unique. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in town.“

“Friday June 6, 2025- Wanted to sample Hawaiian inspired ice cream flavors after eating the Prime Rib dinner. The young man working tonight had good customer service 🤙🏽

I got to sample Cookie Monster- which tastes like cookies and cream but small kine different. I ended up choosing Kauai Pie- which is coffee ice cream with fudge, macadamia nuts and subtle coconut pieces inside. I forgot to take a pic of it cause I was excited to eat it haha.

Really shocked they also sold poke, breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Maybe I’ll sample it next time I visit.“

“Solo Qui is such a hidden gem! I am obsessed with their wonderful espresso and my wife is hooked on the tropical palmer (a super nice fruity iced tea). We used it as basically just a coffeeshop for the longest time until finally trying their food and we were totally blown away! You can tell everything is made in-house from scratch with a lot of love and care. :) Like their lentil soup, oh man, no overly salty storebought stock there. You can tell that it is homemade. They have a great mix too of healthy options (soups and salads) with more decadent treats (panzerotti, cannoli, etc.).

Best of all, it is owned and operated by a really nice brother-sister duo, a true family-owned business. It is such a breath of fresh air going there in our world full of chain restaurants copy/pasted all over the place.

Lastly their prices are super reasonable. Me and my wife will get a nice lunch entree each, with a side, and a fancy drink, and our total won't be above $40. You don't see that too much these days.

“I had Salt and Straw recently and I tried the samples of the unique flavors and got a cup of the Chocolate Brownie . First with the Olive Oil ice cream, it didn’t taste that great and tasted very bad. Secondly for the Tomato Pie ice cream, it actually tasted nice for some reason but just be warned of the bad aftertaste. Thirdly for the Pear and Blue Cheese ice cream wich was actually good with a sweet and slightly salty taste and I don’t even like Pears and I hate Blue Cheese. Before ending the crazy flavors the Strawberry Black Pepper had some taste Which I think I had something similar before. Lastly I got the chocolate Brownie ice cream, the ice cream was creamy stretchy and sweet and I think Salt and straw is actually decent.“

“I love soft baked or semi baked cookies and can confirm that these are indeed up my alley! I had the chocolate chip, maple and pumpkin cookie. All of them are dense, a little sweet and soft, the only off putting part was that it was slightly too salty. Among the three, maple was the best.“
