Kame Omakase offers an exceptional dining experience with chef Eric and his talented team providing carefully crafted cuisine and attentive service. The signature menu and sake selection are highly praised, with each course expertly guided to showcase impeccable fish quality and variety, including raw lobster, conch, and jellyfish. The presentation is stunning, and every dish is thoughtfully prepared, making it a must-visit destination for sushi lovers.
Guests appreciate the intimate atmosphere created by calling for reservations instead of using apps, though some find the reservation system a bit outdated. The menu options include $350 and $500 choices, with the latter being the most expensive omakase experience available in the area. While the quality of food is good, some feel it does not fully match the high price, especially compared to other local Japanese restaurants like Kabuto, Kaiseki Sanga, and Yuzu, which offer more affordable quality.
The omakase features a variety of delicately flavored dishes, with standout items such as uni, which was enjoyed in larger quantities than usual and presented elegantly in different forms, including uni pasta. The fish melts in the mouth, with perfect sashimi and nigiri, and the jellyfish was surprisingly enjoyable despite initial hesitation. The kaiseki tray with tempura corn was a memorable highlight, and the overall experience leaves guests feeling blown away by the passionate chefs, high-quality ingredients, and attentive service.
