This was my very first & my last visit. I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Mad House Coffee. First, $27.50 for two coffees is absolutely ridiculous—especially when major coffee chains charge far less for excellent-tasting drinks and outstanding service. When I asked for clarification on the price, Rebecca, the employee, was unhelpful and told me to text the receipt to myself because “it can break it down better than she could.” Excuse me? Don’t you work here?...read full review
Sitting outside and watching the Bay Area in the distance, meeting friends for long conversations, reading, writing, drinking decaf espresso (!) and cuddling with my darling on the deck.

Based on the reviews, Madhouse Coffee — The Original Location is a staple of the west side of Las Vegas culture. The coffee is fantastic, with specific recommendations including the Coconut Mocha, Monkey Mocha, and Chai Latte. The lattes and teas are consistently tasty, though prices are high. The atmosphere is loved by some, but others find the music is often loud club-type music, which is awful for concentration. Some regulars are extremely disruptive and obnoxious, making it difficult to study. The staff can be extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming, with engaging and charismatic interactions. However, some baristas have shown a subtle passive attitude and a snappy tone, making certain customers feel unwelcome. Many miss when it was 24 hours open and would like a compromise for weekend hours, chill DJs with smooth jazz, and vintage films on the tv.
