A perfect stop before dinner and a show. We had tickets to see a show last night at the pearl theater inside the palms and we set it up so we would have dinner before the show and a cocktail before dinner. Where better to have a cocktail in the palms, but in their flag ship bar dead center when you walk into the casino, the unknown a.k.a. the shark bar. This bar is located inside the Palms in the center of the casino floor. On Saturday night this place was playing all the 2000 jams. I loved it! There is seating at the bar as well as table tops with sofas and chairs. This place is very nice and has a great vibe if you’re looking for a cocktail and good music.

Visited because apparently Damien Hirst designed the entire bar, from the logo to the coasters. This bar includes the 1999 sculpture “The Unknown (Explored, Explained, Exploded)” aka the shark - along with nine of his spot paintings. Could not wait to see it in person and it does not disappoint, really a fascinating work of art from all angles.
