Zaytinya offers incredibly delicious and amazingly tasteful food. The tapas-style dishes are great, with particular praise for the traditional hummus, baba ganoush, brussel sprouts, eggplant dish, and all the seasoned meats. The pita bread is authentically fresh baked. The brunch menu, however, does not offer most of the plates available on the lunch/dinner menu.
Experiences with service vary. Many find the staff to be attentive, friendly, prompt, kind, and caring, with quick accommodation for walk-ins and disabled companions. Other visits report disorganized service from waitstaff, including confusion with orders and dietary restrictions, interruptions during celebrations, and a feeling that servers could be kinder and more attentive. This inconsistency impacts the overall impression.
The restaurant is associated with a noted humanitarian chef. It provides a solid mezzeh experience, though some portions, like the kabob skewers, are noted as being tiny. Many guests would definitely come back to try more dishes.
