This is the place to do some adulting. Lot's of friendly locals to visit with and get a rundown on the town's and where to eat and visit. It's worth a drop in. I usually partake in the early afternoon before evening meal but bar food will get you by too. I like a premium whisky so I can't really price a per person drink cost.

The Corner Bar in Minden is one of those places that feels like a true local hangout. Friendly bartenders, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. The pizzas are amazing and it’s always a fun place to watch a game or meet friends. Definitely one of the best small bars in Carson Valley.

I can usually say I had a good time at this bar. Not today tho. I went in and ordered a drink and some stuffed mushrooms. The bartender lady was nice at first. Later I ordered one more drink and was going to pay. I'm not doing the best on money right now, even though my man and I have really good jobs and work our butts off. I couldn't afford to tip the bartender and the total was $18.50. The lady was very rude and asked me if I was going to tip her and I told her I couldn't really afford to. She was very rude about the whole situation, and made me feel horrible because I couldn't afford it. I live in a motel... I barely turned 21 on Saturday and just wanted to relax after a long day at work. The way this lady treated me was out of line and I am still debating if I am ever going back to this bar. Rockie is a nice bartender however. But this blonde lady was very rude and even brought me to tears how rude she was. I had even asked her if there's any way I could still give a tip, but she was again rude and I found out that since they already ran my card they could not do it. Reguardless, I don't feel it's right to be entitled to a tip. If I tip you, you've earned it by being kind and doing a good job. There was nothing special she had done. She made my drinks and we didn't really hold a conversation or anything. Honestly I am GLAD that I didn't tip her in the first place because she would not have appreciated it. Lesson to be learned people, don't judge a books by its cover. And don't be entitled to tips. If you are expecting to always be tipped then put it in your sales price. Don't judge me for who I am. You don't even know me let alone the big heart I do have... So don't be mean and snappy to me because I CANT AFFORD TO TIP.
