Used my two free nights coupon this past week. I’m an out of towner visiting family from the Southeast. Did some slots, table games and ate at Mels too. Overall had a good experience but my only issues were the vending machines next to the ice maker was bare, and the lady at the desk Thursday morning had an attitude when I asked for someone to help with a blocked drain the tub. Boomtown Steakhouse offers a diverse dining experience with a mix of hits and misses. The food quality is generally good, with the steaks receiving praise for their great value, while the preparation can sometimes miss the mark in terms of cooking preferences. The ambiance of the restaurant can be a bit loud and inconsistent in temperature, with some areas being too cold. However, the service is consistently attentive and quick to resolve any issues that may arise.
The menu features a variety of options, including the popular filet and shrimp, as well as the seafood fettuccine, which is described as delicious and offering a generous portion. The restaurant also offers some unique items, such as the gluten-free brownie, which is said to be a unique combination of flavors that the table enjoys.
The restaurant is often overlooked but is a gem in the area, offering a generally positive dining experience, with good food, attentive service, and a lively atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, especially the steak and shrimp meal. While the temperature and noise levels can be a bit challenging, the restaurant's willingness to address any issues and the quality of the food make it a worthwhile option for those seeking a steakhouse experience.
