24 Best Taco Restaurants in Reno

“Every time I come to (or through) Reno, stopping at Taco Shop is a MUST. Every taco here is amazing. The best, of course is the Cheeseburger taco - which I know sounds odd, but until you try it, you have no idea what you're missing. The pastor is a close second, super juicy with just a lil heat, it is perfection. But you won't find a thing on the menu that isn't incredible. I just wish it wasn't 400+ miles from my home, haha.“

“We did some research to find a great taco truck while visiting in Reno and Tacos Pillulles absolutely was it. It’s in the parking lot of a Home Depot and during the day, surely gets a lot of business. (We went for dinner and were able to get seats at the tables they had set up.) We ordered a bunch of tacos al pastor (marinated pork), cabeza (beef head), carnitas (shredded pork), and carne asada. Each one was DELICIOUS and had distinct flavors from the others. The three salsas that came with the tacos were distinct and flavorful and mildly to moderately spicy (but nothing to set your tongue on fire). The carnitas tacos also came with a delicious consommé. Bonus points for having a wide variety of Jarritos and Mexican Coca Cola (i.e., in glass bottles). And the service was quick, incredibly friendly, and pleasant. I would 100% recommend Tacos Pillulles to anyone looking for good street tacos and will definitely be back the next time I’m in Reno.

(And for those who are curious, I asked about the meaning of Pillulles. The woman who was working didn’t know, but said it was the nickname of the owner. He’s been called Pillulles since he was a little kid.)“

“We came in because of the name and was shocked to see you could get your taco fix PLUS Musubi AND a poke bowl all in the same spot. The food was good and nice portions. The icing was Camila tho. She makes an excellent host. Her friendly attitude makes you want to come back. Thank you girl!!“

“Was up late and my husband and I wanted something good to eat . We stopped at another truck but they didn't accept credit cards. I'm glad they was across the street. I really wanted chicken street tacos but they didn't have that as an option. So I got an all American burger and got my husband some hot wings ! The burger was soo big and we had more than enough fries ! The burger was so good. I'm glad i tried this spot on a whim. The wait time was only 15 mins. My husband enjoyed his wings also. We will be back ! Thanks again !

That was so satisfying and I'm not big on burgers especially boring ones. That grilled jalapeño gave it an extra kick and nice smokey flavor. Definitely left an impression on my taste pallet .“

“10/10 delicious! An unexpected gem. On my way to a job this morning that I was completely under thrilled over, I decided I should at least get some beef jerky or something for energy. I walked into the gas station/market on the corner of Neil and Peckham lane and stumbled upon a tiny kitchen with a small colorful menu and a spotless kitchen. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito with spicy green salsa on the side. He rang me up for $7. Complete sweetheart. I feel now that I was undercharged. It was perfectly fresh and delicious. Set me straight for the morning. If you're in the area, check them out. Hours posted are 6am to 2pm and they have lunch options as well.“

“I'll have to go back and get pictures but there is a fantastic yellow food truck parked outside of the BattleBorn battery at this location. Food was absolutely amazing, we had the quesabirria tacos and chicken quesadilla, meats were fresh and seasoned well. Green and red salsas were home made and good as well!Highly recommend if you see this on Google maps. First time and hoping to see this truck here frequently“
