Excellent service and friendly. Good margaritas. Unfortunately the salsa is TOO HOT. I am older and accustomed to traditional mild red salsa. My mouth was on 🔥 . Couldn't enjoy it.

Viral.. won’t be long before this place becomes the best in Reno. Flavor! Everything taste great! We are Chefs, industry people that recognize great food and this place has it! Order the “House Plate” sounds kitschy but everything is delicious. We sat down, late, ordered some of the most perfect margaritas ever made and was presented with “chips and Salsa”. Which was this super delicious green salsa which blew my mind, then the warm bean salsa, warm! Crazy delicious....read full review

Tacos El Chino Cocina and Bar is a Mexican restaurant in Reno that has quickly become a favorite. Originally a food truck, it now has its first brick and mortar location, and many believe it won’t be long before it becomes the best in Reno. The food is fresh, well seasoned, and full of flavor. Everything tastes great, and the craftsmanship is clear. Guests praise the excellent service and friendly staff.
The menu offers many delicious options. The “House Plate” is highly recommended. The tacos, with grilled onions, are a standout, and the fajitas are delicious. The Chile Rellenos are good, though sometimes overcooked and too soft. The sopa with steak (carne asada) and the gordita with pulled pork (carnitas) are amazingly delicious with hefty portions of protein. The california burrito with carne asada is huge, with thinly sliced tender steak and crispy fries inside, drenched in savory red sauce and coated in cheese. The three entree platter, with tacos and a shredded beef (birria) enchilada, has no bad bite. The churros are perfect, and even non-flan lovers love the flan.
The margaritas are some of the most perfect ever made, including the house margarita with a salted rim. The chips and salsa are great. The green (tomatillo) salsa is perfect on everything, and the yellow habanero salsa has a slow, organic heat. The warm bean salsa is crazy delicious. All salsas are made in house. One guest found the salsa too hot, but others loved it. The atmosphere is authentic, and the seating is varied, though one bench seat was a little too soft. This place is a must try for anyone craving real Mexican cuisine.
