Today my bestie travels home so we decided to try a new breakfast spot. We ended up at the Wet Hen Cafe. I really really wanted to love this place. It plays homage to their family chef that inspires them, and the community by selling local artisan crafts including artist prints, candles and jewelry. They also have a small book share shelf. Excellent Potatoes!! In my never ending search for the US's best home fries/hash browns, these rare right up there. A thinly sliced method cooked crisp and tasty. The rest of the meal was just as good. Cute cafe with some original offerings I look forward to trying in the future. Great job Wet Hen!

I'm going to miss this place! My favorite biscuits and gravy, bacon that's always perfect - I even eat the orange garnish. I had planned to come in for breakfast on my birthday this year (which is in 3 days) but I got a little worried with their closing being scheduled for the following day. So... I may be back this week but if it doesn't happen, I'm happy I got one last fix!
