It's a fancy looking place for a 3 star hotel. Only tried the breakfast when I was there. Had to get the country fried steak. The portions were great and the food was too. The staff was attentive and kind.

As we were staying in the hotel, It was convenient to have breakfast here. There were about five or six tables filled with diners and we were told there were no tables available, maybe in fifteen minute wait. We were saying our goodbyes to our son and daughter-in-law so we waited. Once seated and our order was taken, I had a breakfast burrito and the wife had chicken fried steak. we waited a long time, I wanna say thirty minutes. When it arrived, it was okay, nothing notable. Iced tea was okay.

This hotel is terrific, the history is fun. The meals are usually top notch. A very enjoyable experience.

The service at this place has really gotten bad. This isn't the first time I have waited over 10 minutes to have my order taken. We walked out and drove down the road to Strawberry Hill Diner. Going to take a break from the Mizpah for a while.

The service was great and the food was not to bad. The price is a bit high for the place. Had the 3 cheese omelette and it had lots of cheese. The wife had the oatmeal. She said it was very thick. If you are staying at the hotel it is quick and easy.

Ate here for dinner and had steak. It was pretty good. Better than good but less than great. Our server was great. Very friendly and chatted a bit about the Mizpah Hotel. I'd go again if I make my way to Tonopah!

Spending summers in Tonopah flying gliders, a clean quiet place to get breakfast is greatly appreciated. The staff here are always friendly and helpful.

appropriate name for this restaurant -the pit is what it was. poor service. my steak was not cooked to order. Kind of pricey and nothing was included. They tried to seat us squished next to 2 other couples and the rest of the tables were wide open! never go back. I will be sure to tell all my friends to skip this place.

I had the n.y steak dinner. Tender and tasty service was slow. Would have thought it would be better for only 8 people dining in and 2 waitressesVegetarian options: Grilled asparagus and garlic mash where okay.

I actually have dinner at the Jack Dempsey Room, which is the restaurant that opens for dinner. Food is amazing, fine dinning for sure. The place is small so you have to wait for a table, but it's worth it. This time I got the red snapper with coconut rice and curry sauce, and it was amazing.

We made a dinner reservation thinking we'd get a good table, etc. Definitely not the case! They simply gave us the last table available, basically the worst table in the middle of the dining room, next to the table full of coughing smokers (presumably)! Nice Cline wines available, but don't buy a bottle, they give you small, inappropriate glasses. Wines by the glass served near us were nice pours in decent glasses. Service was extremely slow, food was just OK at best. Salad was good, side order of brussel sprouts was terrible. Filet was mediocre. Apparently a post-covid problem, we very much enjoyed our visit a few years ago!

Just FYI, the cafe and dining room are separate, with different hours. The cafe is only open until 10am. The lunch/dinner menu is limited but diverse. The least expensive meal item was $18. Several of the options were over $30, but the ingredients seem to be high quality. Even the appetizers were expensive but there's a lot of crab and shrimp, that sort of thing. I had the guda cheeseburger with bacon onion jam and aioli, and parmesan fries. It was very good and good portion sizes. I tasted a little of the beef patty by itself and it was good on its own as well. The fries were pretty basic but good, not super greasy or over salted/spiced or anything and they used fresh grated parmesan which was nice. The environment is very upscale and nice, but a lot of the customers were dressed casually so don't worry about 'dressing up' if you don't want to. the host and waitress were very friendly and helpful. The service was great.
