I was about to grab something from the gas station for lunch when my wife checked the internet and told me there was a good diner less than a mile away.I went up the road and was immediately seated in the shockingly empty dining room. The staff was super friendly. The food was simple but excellent. It took all my willpower not to get one of the amazing looking shakes.
We stopped in for a late breakfast, early lunch and the food was great. I had the steak and eggs which came with 3 big pancakes that truly tasted home made and the server confirmed to me that the chef makes them from scratch! The food came fast and was cooked perfect. I like my steak well done which comes out tough at some places but this one was so tender and tasty. My husband’s and son’s meals were also very good. We were hungry so ate fast, no photos. Don’t let the “simple” appearance of the food fool you. There is something about it that was just right. Eggs and potatoes tasted higher quality than a typical diner. The toast was HUGE and pre-buttered. And even the water was impressive. No metallic or “off” taste. The salad is not made with iceberg lettuce, which I appreciate. Spaghetti has wonderful sauce. Just higher quality all around.
